For those that can't make up their minds your not hurried or rushed to make purchases. There are exceptions of course. The atmosphere is roomy, with enough space between tables for privacy. If your order is not ready at purchase point then the staff will bring it to you with out the feeling that you need to tip again if you did. Great seating with leather couches. Chairs and tables are far enough apart to have reasonably private conversation. The patio is overlooking the Bay. Hope that you like birds. Parking is walking distance or one minute from entrance. So, good. The food was delicious, though not gastro-pubby, but rather pub grub. It could use new carpeting throughout. The stand out for us was the service. Our server was helpful, knew the menu inside out, and when we asked for some changes to make one of the meals heart healthy they went out of their way to make it happen. We were seated in a quiet corner...easier for my Dad that he didn't have to climb up a step...but there was loud laughter coming from around the corner. Everyone seemed to be greeted by name at the door. Our server was a nice young girl, but everyone paid attention to us, helping to deliver the meal, checking on how we liked our meals. I worked all through college as a waitress, and I am kind of picky about service attitude, and this was wonderful. Read more

Williams is essentially an expanded coffee house, that offers food which is edible, but not great. But, that is to be expected, as no one would go here expecting fine dining. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, service is quick and the place seems to be clean. Being right across from McMaster, it is often full of students, many who come to study, and staff doesn't seem to mind. The service by the wait staff is excellent. The manager and the owner are both excellent people who are the right fit for this establishment. This is a neighbourhood 'pub' where the patrons and the staff are accomodating, friendly and there is a family feel to the pub. My spouse and I are regulars there now and have enjoyed many meals prepared by their cooks. The meals range from appetizers to their many entrees: toasted western sandwich to the sirloin steak done to perfection. Whatever they prepare is done very well. Only once have I had a complaint but there was a new cook on staff. Things are great now. Try this pub out for a meal and a couple of drinks, you will not be disappointed. Have a game of pool or darts while listening to your favourite music on the techically advanced "juke box". It's not the same anymore. "Come on in to a place where everybody knows your name." Cheers!
