Although this establishment now serves Chinese food, to me it is not the crowning jewel of this eatery. It has truly stood the test of time. As a young boy, mom and dad would slip me a few bucks, I'd get on my bike and pedal up there, back when the original owner was working his own place, breading and seasoning by hand (hint: this was in the late 70's). This was THE weekly treat for me to take this delicious, crispy, one of a kind taste home in the basket of my bike and delve into a taste sensation. The "Colonel" got punk'd everytime, hands down. It was a splendid day and my roommate had collected some change from returning empties to the depot. We walked to the cafe together and talked about how we are going to order food and coffee, but we were about to change our mind last minute, yet we ended up at Tim Horton's. One of the girl's who worked there asked my friend never to bring her there again, so I felt uncomfortable as all the visits I have had to Tim Horton's were sacred and held a lot of meaning to me, my classmates and family. We ordered the coffee quickly and ate sweet pastries outside and drank our one coffee that we shared. This was one of the worst visit I had, although staff was well presented and dressed and professional in preparing our order in a timely manner and courteous demeanor. In the past I always went to Tim Horton's to study, or discuss politics, current affairs and art with my friends, classmates and neighbours.
