I am a semi-regular at this location, and also go to the other locations in Waterloo and Cambridge now and then. The service is pretty snarly, but a bit more attentive than at the other locations. The food is always good. I love their Malaysian Seafood Laksa Noodle Soup, and their pho, as well as their pork balls. Just don't go during the busy dinner hours.

I have been to Golden Basil twice in the last month...both times I had very enjoyable meals..maybe not the best Thai food that I've ever had but certainly adequate. Actually, more than adequate. Portion size is generous...food is tasty, service both times was prompt and efficent...atmosphere leaves a little to be desired..but this is a great place for a quick lunch. I would recommend.

Picture a really good Mandarin. AYCE with great taste and prices. Yes the service is slow but the place is clean and nice. The food is top notch for ayce. I dare you to find better Thai and Sushi for this price. Lunch is $15 and dinner is $25. Something for everyone and please try the deep fried cheesecake, so good. My fav place for the last year. I come to Ben's usually to catch up with my family since we all love it there. I don't deviate much from my standard lemongrass chicken + pork dish since I love it so much, even if it is pretty straight forward. I could live off the crispy wontons ommm nom. The smoothies are delicious as well. Service is consistently friendly, have to admit I always had a little bit of a crush on one of the servers there hahah :)

I liked Pho Hung. The staff is friendly and helpful, it was nice when he suggested I not get the fish soup as it maybe more on the fishy side. I got the veggie spring rolls which were very nice a little on the greasy side but tasted good after soaking in napkins for the extra oil. My veggie pho was really good!! the vermicelli looked good as well. we got lots of food and for $23 including tip for two people, who can beat that!!!

BEST PHO IN ALL OF TORONTO! Their beef noodle broth is just stupendous! It doesn't contain as much fat and oil as you would expect from other restaurants which is really good! This is probably the only pho restaurant i would recommend to anybody. Though the atmosphere is not like a 5 star restuarant, the food sure makes up for it. The man who owns it is very friendly as well. It's really GREAT!

I've been hoping to find a place that does a version of Pad Thai which rivals the Pad Thai that the Thai Terrace (formerly in Mississauga) used to make. We loved the food here (a worthy rival for Ben Thanh just down the road). We will be back a lot in the future...perhaps even tonight as it's directly across Hwy 7 from the Galaxy Theatre complex and we're seeing Jack the Giant Killer.
