I live nearby, and visit several times a year. Good food, nicely varied menu, good selection of draft (including Red Truck IPA, my fave!). Extremely friendly staff, and solid live music on some weekends. My only minor concern is that they don't always have local sports teams on their TVs, had to ask for a Lions game to be put on screen midway through 1st quarter. All in all a great neighbourhood pub.Read more

I met some friends at the new Big Ridge for a few drinks and had a great time! I have been to the N.Van location on several occasions and was happy to see a location out here. The service was good and the atmosphere was upbeat. They also had a DJ playing some great music. I really like the location being so central to a few of the main routes. I am looking forward to my next visit for sure!Read more

I was our first visit to this neighbourhood pub.
It is a small restaurant with low ceilings and panelled in dark wood. The seating is very comfortable. The menu is small, however it offers something for everyone.
We tried their signature dish "Oyster po' boy" ($15). It is served with a roasted tomato soup drizzled with rich basil oil. The dish was flavourful and nicely presented. The service was good and very friendly.Read more

My wife and I used to love strolling the city and ending up at the Irish Heather for a pint (or three) and some fantastic authentic pub fare. This was in their original location. Then, we had a family and it took us a while to get back but we finally got back to check out their new digs and new menu. While the beer selection is still fantastic we were disappointed in the overall vibe. The food was still good but the value took a bit of a hit from their original location. While it was a great experience overall we still miss the original.Read more
