I went to Tower D on a recommendation after a bad experience with another vet. My cat hates his carrier, but won't come out at the vet. My old vet would drag him out by the scruff of his neck. At Tower Drive, great care, the dr actually took time to dismantle the carrier around him and remove the top, and then only lifts him out gently if he has to weigh him or otherwise needs to. I was impressed in so many ways with the gentle care at Tower Road. Also no extra unnecessary and duplicated tests. Read more

Animal housecalls is the ideal service for pet owners. My cat is very nervous and just the sight of the carrier would put him into hiding. With Animal Housecalls, he's able to get his yearly check-up in the comfort of his own home, which drastically minimizes his stress levels. Dr. McGowan is incredibly caring and intuitive, as well as honest. I actually look forward to my cat's vet appointments with her. Read more

Ron has helped us on many occasions throughout the years since he has opened the Downsview Vet Clinic. He has treated out FIV cats, he has provided the necessary at home care options that they have needed from time to time. Most recently, we lost our Tuffy cat and he kindly made a donation to the Guelph Animal Sciences fund for continued research for ailing animals which we found very touching and thoughtful. Plus, he is an overall nice guy. Read more

Dr. Korol and his team are remarkable. My dog has been Dr. Korol’s patient for 13 years. Recently, my dog had a sudden herniated disc that left him paralyzed. Dr. Korol immediately responded to help. He compassionately addressed our concerns and quickly connected us to a specialist surgeon. Following my dog’s surgery, Dr. Korol and his team provided unparalleled care to my dog. I'm happy to say that my dog is now walking. I have tremendous gratitude for Dr. Korol and the Westway team. Read more

Veterinarians in Yonge And Eglinton Toronto ON

Whether it’s time for Fido’s annual visit to the veterinary clinic or only the best veterinarian in town will do for finicky Whiskers, finding veterinarian services in your area for the family pet is a daunting task – especially when choosing among the 6,600 practicing veterinarians in Canada.

Tips to finding veterinarians in Yonge And Eglinton Toronto ON

  • Talk to pet owners: Like trying to find a family doctor, the best way to find a veterinarian or a certified animal clinic is to ask around – in this case, ask pet owners in your inner circles about their veterinary needs. Some of the best referrals come from those who have chronically ill pets. Some of the questions you may want to ask pet owners are the following:  How long have you known this veterinarian? How much does your veterinarian charge per visit? What are the costs per treatments and what do they include? Is the staff equipped for emergencies? Compare your notes and you’ll have a good a lead.
  • Hang out in dog parks: Hang out at your local dog park and ask dog owners what they have to say about the veterinarians in their area – chances are you’ll have a better consensus on the different types of veterinarian services you’ll encounter in your neighbourhood.
  • Schedule a visit: Go behind the scenes and get to know a local vet by visiting their facilities. Ask yourself the following: Is the examination room clean and odour free? Is the support staff courteous? In what conditions will your pet be treated?
  • Prepare a list of questions: When you meet a veterinarian for the first time, make sure you explain your pet’s health history. If your pet’s breed or species is particular and needs extra attention, ask the vet which animals they specialise in. You wouldn’t see an eye doctor if your feet were hurting, would you? A quick call to the provincial veterinary medical association can help confirm a vet’s credentials.
  • Veterinary hospital vs. private veterinary clinic: Choosing between the two can come down to a matter of price. You’ll find better prices at an animal hospital but you will not find the same friendly rapport you’ll get from a private veterinary clinic. A Yonge And Eglinton Toronto ON veterinary hospital may also be better equipped to take care of a family pet emergency whereas a private veterinary clinic would hold records of your pet’s entire health history for a more accurate diagnosis.
