Located on Fourth Street Southwest in Mission, Modern Menswear is an urban boutique carrying stylish and contemporary European-influenced casual wear for men. “You can find a bit of everything in here, but it’s 99 per cent evenings, weekends or a really nice date night attire," says owner Drew Rudichuk. "A lot of the clothes, you could wear to a nice dinner or to the office if you’re not a formal, everyday suit person.”

The closet-style racks of his small, independent clothing store are filled with button-up shirts, pants, T-shirts, sport coats and shoes for work or dress-up social outings. Drew also stocks cool athletic wear such as well-tapered black track pants by Han Kjøbenhavn that's suitable for bike rides or post-work soccer.

Modern Menswear does carry a limited selection of suits, but most of the items in the store are meant to be mixed and matched to build outfits that blur the lines between cool, casual and classy. Among the shop’s mainstay brands are Wemoto from Germany, Wood Wood from Denmark and Raised By Wolves, a Canadian label. Customers will also find accessories that include handbags, ball caps, sunglasses and cell phone covers.
