    Love this place, ...

Love this place, highly recommend it. The people at Sweet Talk are friendly, all different levels of experience are welcome. You can learn to ride, tack and truly appreciate the sport to the full extent. You get to make friends bring family and enjoy a all year lesson program with an indoor and outdoor arena. The best part is it's improving every year!

    I've been a 'Swee...

I've been a 'Sweet Talker' for five years now. They've taken me from a dead beginner who screamed the first time I tried to trot, to a horse owner that has done western, English, jumping, dressage, cow work, the finer points of collection and impulsion, fun gymkhanas, etc. A fun family barn with lots of events and something for every level of rider. My horse is well cared for and happy. Many options for types of board. Lots of lesson horses for different levels. Highly recommend.

    Great Place

Great family friendly place. If you or your kids are wanting lessons then this is the place. Always something fun going on and more ridable horses than any other stable we've been to. We have looked at many stables and find ST suits our needs just fine.

    I have been at Sw...

I have been at Sweet Talk for a long time taking lessons and I love that they are so professional while maintaining a friendly environment for students to learn. I like that they teach both English and Western riding and I can go to big competitions, like the ones held at Spruce Meadows, and cheer Sweet Talk's riders on. Sweet Talk Stables is a professionally run facility so close to Calgary where the whole family is welcome.

    Family friendly barn!

Joyce and her family run an amazing barn! I know that my horse will always be cared for. There are many options for board, from inside in the cold winter to pasture and everything in between. I have learned so much in the lesson program, including how to really ride at Sweettalk. English, western, competitive, beginners, intermediates... they can teach you all and help you improve. I highly recommend this barn!

Keep looking, this is not a quality place.

Look around for another facility, there are so many in the area. They make their agreements verbally and then forget what they have said. They do not honour their lease agreements, the horse that you have leased could be gone at any given time with no notice. The barn is old and rundown and when it rains there is 4 inches of water on the floor. The children often teach the lessons and while they are experienced riders they are not yet experienced teachers. Do yourself a favour and keep looking.

Saddle up! Horseback riding in and around Calgary

Chestermere’s Sweet Talk Stables is the perfect place for kids and teens to learn to ride, and only minutes from Calgary’s city limits. Sweet Talk Stables offers lessons, camps, and clinics throughout the entire year, with both indoor and outdoor riding facilities. Just pick your style! English lessons teach classic riding with a lightweight saddle. Western lessons embody the movements of the typical working cowboy. Dressage lessons teach artistic dances sort of like an equine ballet. Hunter-jumper lessons teach riders English-style movements with obstacles such as jumps, twists and sharp turns.
