    We were with this...

    We were with this company for almost 2 years. We went through 4 routers because we kept loosing internet and we were told it was the routers fault. We had no other options and no apologizes or fixes just blaming us or bell service. Finally telus brought in internet and guess what??!!! Our internet is AMAZING!!! DO NOT GO WITH CLEARWAVE

    POOR INTERNET WITH CLEARWAVE

    We were forced to use Clearwave as an internet provider as we were out of area from other providers. We had them for about 3 years with less than stellar service both with internet and with customer service. When we would loose our internet connection, we were always told it was the router. In the 3 years we were with them we had over 12 routers installed! The last time we had the router installed and "registered" the router with Clearwave, within 24 hours we had no internet again. When trying to contact them, the customer service was extremely unprofessional. We were screamed at and told we were the ones at fault. Within 24 hours, we were up and running with Bell on a Turbo Hub with superfast internet and no "router" issues! Interestingly enough, when having coffee with my friend later that afternoon, she too is with Clearwave and had to shut her router off 6 times throughout the day as her internet wasn't working properly either! Needless to say, she is on her way to check out alternatives with Bell. At the end of the day, issues will occur when you are providing services to your customers, it is how you handle them and treat your customers that will result in the success or failure of your business. Screaming at your customers and making them feel stupid only will result in FAILURE!!

    WARNING ABOUT CLEARWAVE

    At first our speeds were quite excellent and as advertised (3mbps up and down package), over the last 7 months (Jan 2010 - July 2010) speeds have been completely inconsistent, the max we have gotten is about 70% of our package, and outages happen almost every day. Various other customers are experiencing the same issues and the ISP is blaming the end user and telling people to go somewhere else if they are unhappy with their service. If they weren't the only high speed ISP in the area we would drop them in an instant. I urge anyone to stay away from Clearwave, terrible service, terrible speeds, owner doesn't seem to care that customers aren't getting what they are paying for.
