Meet the owner

Little Royal Framing & Gallery began in 1965, but first opened for business at their Whyte Ave location in 1968. Since then, the business has been a popular fixture in the area and brings a welcome dedication to customer satisfaction. “My wife, Elaine, and daughter, Shelley Palmer, work closely with the customers, while I do the framing,” says Roy Elderkin. “There aren’t a lot of family-owned framing shops in Edmonton, but we aren't going anywhere.”

The fluctuations in small framing shops hasn't deterred unique businesses like this. Offering a selection of Lora Zombie prints on Facebook, and beautiful landscape portraits by Loren Chabot on their website, Little Royal Framing & Gallery proves there is still a healthy demand for independent artists and framing services.
