Meet the owner

Excited to be small business owners, Michael Riske and Caroline Stewart started Wellness Within in 2006. They decided to start a wellness centre because of Caroline's experience in massage therapy. “Instead of just massage, we decided to include a wider range of holistic health services,” Michael says. “We started with massage, but brought in a hypnotherapist, an acupuncturist and a naturopathic doctor, all certified professionals in their respective fields.”

Since 2007, Wellness Within has expanded so much it has needed to relocate twice. Originally started in Edmonton, they can now be found in St. Albert. “We now occupy about 10,000 square feet of retail space in the Enjoy Centre with a full-fledged yoga studio and health spa.”
