GARDENWORKS at Mandeville

GardenWorks at Mandeville offers a wide selection of good quality plants with a green thumb guarantee and advice on how to achieve the garden of your dreams.

Regular customers know they can approach staff members with questions like “why isn’t my plant doing well?” or “what’s the white stuff on the underside of the leaves?” and receive expert diagnoses and solutions for tackling the problem, explains Scott Pearce, one of four owners of the six GardenWorks centres in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

GardenWorks at Mandeville, located just below Marine Drive at Nelson Street in South Burnaby, has been around for more than 50 years and became part of the GardenWorks group about a decade ago.

Driven by their customers’ desire for a broad selection of good quality and unique plants, the staff at GardenWorks source their plants from a wide variety of growers ensuring the wide selection on offer at their garden centre, Scott explains.

“Our goal is to find the best plants for our guests,” Scott explains.

The passion for gardening that their customers have is matched by the passion of the staff at Mandeville.

Several staff members are certified Canadian Horticultural Technicians, some have diplomas in horticulture or landscape horticulture, and they have years of experience and specialization.

“We support people whose careers are in horticulture and rely on their passion for gardening and plants,” Scott says.
