Meet the owner

“In 2002, I was abroad in South Korea. I went to sleep one night and had a really clear, vivid dream that I owned a doughnut shop,” says Jordan Cash, owner of Cartems Donuterie. “I was serving gourmet doughnuts on a plate, with knives and forks, and the name of the doughnut shop in the dream was Cartems, which is not a real word, it doesn’t mean anything, but that’s just what it was in the dream.”

Jordan wrote the details of his vivid dream down and never forgot it. Ten years later, he opened Cartems Donuterie in Vancouver.

“There’s a market for a quality-made treat that is made with a lot of love and care,” Jordan explains. “Doughnuts are everywhere, but a good doughnut is hard to find.” Working exclusively from scratch, using high-quality ingredients, and perhaps most importantly, preparing each batch with special attention and care, Cartems Donuterie creates doughnuts that transcend coffee-shop pastry to become a delicious, memorable indulgence.

Triple chocolate threat

This is a dangerous donut. Chocolate cake, topped with chocolate ganache, and finished with crispy callebaut chocolate pearls. Leave the kids at home.

Chocolate Sweet Snow

Sweet snow: chocolate dough is topped with our white chocolate ganache (made with coconut milk and callebeaut white chocolate) and organic coconut.

The classic

Nothing here but the straight goods. Our vanilla donut glazed with organic vanilla bean. Enough said.

What is VGF? Vegan gluten free! No gluten and no animal products used in the making of this round mound of deliciousness. Rotating flavours all the time, check the news feed or call!

A straight up 55% Belgian chocolate ganache glaze, done proper

vanilla bean raised

This pillow of goodness is topped with an organic ground vanilla bean glaze, an old school classic

Maple walnut

Maple glaze: A yeast donut topped with our maple glaze and our own spiced walnuts that we smoke ourselves!

canadian whiskey bacon

Canadian Whiskey Bacon – As the name suggest, we got whiskey, along with bacon fat, and maple extract right in that glaze. Topped with a house made double smoked bacon. Bam.

The earl grey

Exactly as it sounds, this tasty cake donut is infused with an organic earl grey tea, topped with earl grey glaze and a sprinkling of rose petals!

salted caramel

A chocolate donut topped with sweet buttery goodness and course sea salt. Sweet and salty deliciousness.
