The appealing interior of the North Shore Liquor Store makes for an enjoyable stop for all your liquor shopping needs. This centrally located North Vancouver shop has been serving North Shore residents from its Marine Drive location since 2012. Stepping into the foyer, displays showcase the wealth of products available, while knowledgeable staff are happy to answer questions about the range of products. On the back wall, above white wine chilling in refrigerators, are clever quotes about liquor. For example: “I cook with wine. Sometimes I even add it to the food,” by W.C Fields, and “In victory you deserve champagne, in defeat, you need it,” from Napoleon Bonaparte.

Andrew McNeil, the store manager says, “We were looking at that wall when we opened up the store and it seemed like a pretty big space to be left blank. So we decided on quotes to make the store a bit more interesting for our customers and give them a chuckle.” This customer focus is also evident in the store’s hours. During the holidays when many other liquor outlets shut, the North Shore Liquor Store remains open. “Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, Easter, we're open every day of the year. Because we are the only gig in town on those days, they have become our biggest,” says Andrew.
