What we had for dinner was reasonably well done...

What we had for dinner was reasonably well done, however the menu is terribly dated and tired. There isn't an ounce of originality or flare. These dishes are straight out of 1982. Wine list has no vintages listed; always a scary sign. Some of the wines were actually named for their region as opposed to their producer. WOW! Service was very attentive, almost too much so with the owner hovering over our table all night, but some may like the attention. Having said that the veal was very tender and delicious, and we did manage to find a decent general list Chianti. The atmosphere is nice, clean and much more modern than the food. Stick with the classics and you should leave satisfied.

I have to agree with the poster below me. I have...

I have to agree with the poster below me. I have been twice to Cafe Andreou and there is nothing spectacular or beautiful about the food, the decor or the staff. Tis all bland and not worth the money we spent here. I initially thought since there was so many comments made to this particular restaurant (dozens more than any other Brantford restaurant) that this would be the place to go with no regrets - I was wrong. I think too many friends and family are commenting here???

I have never written a review of a restaurant...

I have never written a review of a restaurant before and the only reason I am doing so is that I was so upset after having dined there, that I google searched the name and came up with this website. The place was empty and the owner completely suffocated us. He pushed food on us that we didn't want, and called everything beautiful. I swear I have never heard a person say the word "beautiful" more in my life. The food was overpriced, under refined and completely bland. Tough steak, over cooked pasta (and this guy went on about Italy and it's food forever, you'd think he could cook pasta properly) and under seasoned vegetables. The menu was boring and extremely predictable. If they can't cook for two people (we were the only people there) than I would hate to see what happens on a Saturday night. I paid well over $150 for my meal and it was terrible! If you visit Brantford I suggest you try anywhere but here.

this restaurant is anything but italian, the owner is greek , no italian chefs in the back , the food is way over priced, and nothing is homemade about the gnocchi , straight from an italians mouth i wouldnt take my nonna there.
