Server was friendly, but seemed to forget that we were tucked in the corner- where the owner sat us and said we would NOT be forgotten about. Owner came to clear our plates but was more interested in talking to the regulars than making new customers feel welcomed. Will not be returning.
Its was good food, when it came! The waitress who we had seemed to not want to be at work. When we asked for drinks it was like we re bothering her. When we 're ordering she kept playing with her annoying red hair. If the service changes the food is worth going back for.
Have been here arnd 3-4 times. Love the two hand burgers. Gr8 location wth excellent view, enormous portions. The only problem is dat it gets a little tight if u dont hv a reservation. Kinda love the place and looking forward to my next visit.
I was here with a friend for a Friday afternoon lunch. The restaurant has a terrific location with a wide unrestricted view of Lake Huron.
It was summer, so outside and inside seating was available. We took a table inside, right at the window. The place seemed to have an interesting décor although we spent most of our time looking outside at the lake.
We ordered pop ($2.03), iced tea ($2.65), and the Chicken Fajita Sizzlers ($13.95 x 2). The fajita hot and cold ingredients were supplied and it was up to each diner to build his own fajitas. The tortilla wraps (4 or 5 of them) were only 20 cm in diameter and inadequate for building up fajitas with the amount materials (lettuce, cheese, fried onions and pepper strips) supplied. The chicken strips were not a generous helping; they weren’t very tasty, and the hot ingredients were not “sizzling” when delivered to the table. With all the tortillas used up, we both left a fair amount of fried onion and pepper slices uneaten. Taste was …well, average.
Had I been asked (but I wasn’t asked), I would have told the waitress that the meal was okay, but I wouldn’t order it again. We weren’t offered drink refills either. Service was …average.
Total cost was $36.88 before tip – a little steep for a simple lunch.
Overall, it was a slightly disappointing experience. Just on the basis of this one visit, I would not bother to go back there on my own, but I’d be willing to return if someone else in our party wanted to try the place.
