The food was excellent.......pub food just as it should be. Their great selection in beer was a real plus. A little bit of local selection and the old hits as well. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Beautiful building, good music, and extremely friendly and genuine staff. Beautiful building and a wonderful view of the river. It felt a little like "Cheers". I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable pub style restaurant.

The ambience of the restuarnt is gorgeous and the outdoor patio is great in the summer. However, the food is usually a disappointment and is overpriced for the quality. If I went back to the Brewhouse, I would stick to the basics - hamburgers and fish and chips.

With its limestone walls and deep windowsills, the Brewhouse ambience is initially pleasing. However, the cozy corner table we chose was directly beneath an audio speaker, making normal conversation a challenge over the too loud music. The service was quick and friendly, but unfortunately inexperienced. (I fault the management for this, not the young waitress) I ordered coffee and my friend ordered tea. The waitress brought the coffee and tea, but only one pitcher of whitener. When I asked if that was the coffee cream or the milk for the tea, she looked at me like I was from another planet. “Oh! Did you want cream?” was her reply. The cream never came so I borrowed it from the table beside us. My soup came almost immediately while I was still drinking my coffee. Perhaps it is too presumptuous of me, but most servers know not to bring soup before the diner drinks his or her coffee or tea. The whitefish chowder was very good, but the Greek salad was rather ordinary.
