Billie Boutique

Opened by Véronique Saine and her former partner, Bille Boutique has become a destination for all fashion fans in Montreal. And with good reason. Billie Boutique is a novel concept in Montreal's fashion scene. Véronique wanted an independent boutique where patrons could find everything they needed for their wardrobe, from work and casual wear to evening clothes. She wanted it to be just like walking into your best friend's giant closet.

Véronique chose the name Billie because it is easy for her bilingual customers to remember since it's a familiar name in both French and English. Setting up the store on Laurier Street was familiar for her as well — she practically grew up on the street as her father is the owner of Leméac restaurant and used to own other businesses on the chic street. Injecting a touch of youth in the area seems to have ignited a trend, since other young business have started setting up shop as well.
