Great Indian Food! Best in GTA! Been going to Mount Everest for over 15 years! Have tried other Indian Restaurants but none can compare! Service is good and prices reasonable. I cannot praise Mr. Singh enough for his dedication in creating quality indian dishes. Butter Chicken is the best! Love the Naan bread and Samosas. Great vegetarian dishes too! We usually do take outs on weekends but went their for lunch on weekday and thoroughly enjoyed it. It didn't look big buffet but wow had lots of varieties to eat and especially fresh nan and tandoori chicken. Not big on Indian desserts too sweet for me. The people who run this restaurant are always so friendly! To top that off, the food is great. I really enjoy their palak paneer especially. They're also great with accomodating tastes. I like my food spicy, while my other family members are not so keen on it. When I order spice levels all over the map, it's never screwed up. Always perfect for each person. Found this place just driving by. Wanted *Indian* food and took a chance. Was not disappointed, in fact this is our new favourite *Indian* restaurant. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was well ... *Indian* :). The food though was amazing - delicious, flavourful, spicy and authentic. I am addicted to Indian food. I've been to just about every Indian restaurant in T.O. Without reservation ( pardon the pun ) I can say that this place is at the top of my list. Not only is the food fantastic but the price is an unbelievable 10 dollars for lunch and 12 for dinner. ALL YOU CAN EAT. You can order specialty dishes from the kitchen but the buffet has so many selections that you don't need to. Superb, fresh made naan and as many poppadums as you want are included in the price as well as desert. You just can't beat it. I discovered this place about 3 years ago and since then I have been going once a week, every week. No kidding, it's THAT good. Not once have I been disappointed. Not only does your food come fast, but it's been marinating for quite some time. This is how Indian food ( and Pakistani) is actually cooked. If you go to an Indian restaurant and you're waiting for an hour and a half for your dish thinking it's going to be fresh and that's how it's made, you're wrong. Indian food takes HOURS to make. The sauces and spices need time to sink into the meat, and they do exactly that at Tika house. The service is great, they're always on top of your water and they don't expect you to tip! People might complain about the atmosphere but the reason why they made the place like that is because in India and Pakistan the best tasting places are done up like Tika house so you can focus on the food instead of the decor. The washrooms are very nice though! Best Indian place in the city. Don't bother going anywhere else. Read more
