A welcome gem in the Junction. Staff are inviting, friendly and efficient. I tried the smoked beef hash at Saturday Brunch. Superbly smoked meat and crunchy potatoes under a perfectly poached egg in a cast iron skillet. Ginos special hot sauce was an added treat. I've been to this restaurant twice now and both times the food has been great. But I was there with my husband's family last night for my father-in-law's birthday. My mother-in-law had brought a birthday cake to the restaurant and had asked them to bring it out as a surprise when it was time for dessert. Everything was going great until the server informed my mother-in-law (just before they were about to bring his birthday cake out) that we would be charged $10 just for them to bring it out! We said forget it, and we took the cake home and had it there! We would have ordered coffees and cafe au laits to go with the cake, so they certainly would have made at least another $20 off of that, but it's their loss I guess. So to summarize, the food was excellent as usual, but we were very disappointed that they wouldn't accommodate our birthday cake with out a steep charge - it left a bad taste in our mouth. Read more

I've been here a number of times and I'm never disappointed! Its a great place to bring friends to try something delicious and unique. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I was there on a recent Saturday evening at 5:30 and had to wonder, though, why the hostess felt compelled to inform me that my table was booked at 7:30. It felt rather rude and unwelcoming.
