For over 30 years, The Horse Store has carried English riding attire, English and Western tack as well as a wide range of supplies for horse health care and dietary supplementation. Passersby can’t help but notice the horse mannequin that graces  the corner of Memorial Drive and Kensington Road just outside the shop. The life-size black horse serves as more than just an eye-catcher

“Sometimes we will use our display horse to help customers with sizing of blankets and tack if they are unsure of the size of their horse,” says long time manager Michelle Della Costa.

Because Michelle and staff members like Alison Whitehouse are all horse owners and riders, The Horse Store patrons take confidence in the advice they receive here. Standing in the store’s tack section, Michelle points to various types of saddles, saddle blankets, bridles, girths, helmets and saddle pads available for horse enthusiast whether they ride English or Western.

Along with the necessary tack for the horse, The Horse Store also sells English riding attire including show jackets, show shirts, breeches, gloves and boots for women and children.
