When I decided in 2015 to leave the world of conventional work in favour of making mosaics full time, a friend texted "Great to see you stepping into where your head has lived for far longer." WowFactor Mosaics is the coming together of a lifetime of making art, a love of the materials of mosaic, and my degrees in interior design and art history. Glass, stone, tile and found objects - some new, some repurposed, some picked up in unlikely places - often inspire the outcome themselves (see Strata - glass and salvaged beach glass piece on Gallery Page). The first project I completed was my bathroom wall and vanity countertop...the wall a spontaneous floral explosion, the counter a more peaceful curvilinear rock stream. Without exception, everyone who saw it said "Wow!", followed by some further comment or question.     I wanted a kitchen back splash with some character in my open concept living space. I met Carol at Wow Factor Mosaics to discuss possible options. When all was said done Carol provided me with an Amazing Mosaic based on an image I provided, she found the perfect tile and grout selections to compliment the space, and even arranged to have a quality installer come in and put the entire job together!     I am fortunate enough to have a piece in my home designed and created by Carol at WOW factor Mosaics! From the beginning, Carol was so easy to work with, knows the materials, process and has great vision. I suggested a couple of ideas, and colors I like best and she took it from there. My mosaic is stunning, it is more than I hoped for. I highly recommend Carol and WOW factor Mosaics; I will be a repeat customer!! Thank you Carol.
