Colton Mobile Service just rescued a computerised sewing machine and serger of mine that had been badly damaged when hit by a falling wall cabinet. The serger was actually bent, and the sewing machine had computer damage. Both are now fixed and working as good as new! They even fixed cracks in the sergers outer case. The repair bill was very reasonable. You can trust them to do a good job every time!
Excellent service experience!! Lovely people, very nice and easy to deal with! My singer was not worth fixing, because it would be more expensive than buying a new one. But they didnt charge me for finding the issue! I will definitely go there again in the future! Very highly recommend this service!
I could not believe how smooth my machine was when I got it serviced. I almost didnt recognize it. And very accurate stitches again, like new. And it came threaded such that I could examine the correct method for threading it.
Its too long a story, which includes ferry travel, an industrial walking foot, an industrial serger, they didnt know how to fix, which a South Vancouver company fixed within a couple hours, and beautifully!!! I have never had such a gobsmackingly poor experience. I arrived back on Salt Spring Island with an industrial walking foot that only goes in reverse, and no bottom thread connection; timing still off. I was devastated! Wish Id taken both machines elsewhere. Still waiting for a refund.
I would recommend Colton sewing machine repair as they were very efficient , friendly and knowledgeable . My machine was returned promptly and in good working order.
I brought my Bernina Sewing machine in for repairs a few weeks before Christmas and the lady at A Great Notion said it would be two weeks before I would get it back. I got a call the following Thursday to give me a quote for the repairs. The fellow said he would complete the repairs that night and I could pick the machine up at their shop on the Friday. He also commented that my Bernina was the easiest machine to repair. The repair people in Ontario told me the same thing.

My 36 year old sewing machine needed servicing. Colton Service did a wonderful job restoring it to its former glory. Works better than ever! Prior to servicing, after a few stitches, the mess and broken thread drove me to tears. After servicing, I was scared to try it...took about one week for me to get the nerve to use it. It hums and stitches so well!!! Thread-holder issue also solved. Need to find locally same needles and thread as provided.
Pickup and dropoff was a great benefit for us. The reps also arrived when they said they would. The work only took the one week and my machine is now ticking along perfectly. thank you.
I live on the Sunshine Coast and just had 2 machines serviced when I came to Vancouver for shopping and appointments. Dropped it off and was able to pick ithem up same day.
