Infertility is a common condition affecting as many as one in every six Canadians, as revealed in a 2012 study by Statistics Canada and Assisted Human Reproduction Canada. It's an emotionally and physically difficult journey for individuals and couples wishing to start or grow their families, but one where Vancouver's Genesis Fertility Centre is expertly positioned to provide the most comprehensive in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and reproductive medical options.

The Centre was established in 1995 and is revered in their field for their advanced technology and decades of specialized experience. Dr. Sonya Kashyap has been providing professional infertility services as their medical director since 2013. "I trained at Cornell University Medical College in New York, which was the first and foremost pioneering centre for IVF."

Dr. Kashyap has been working in IVF since 2000 and says it's one of the very few areas in medicine where you can cure the disease. "Firstly, I was intrigued with the science and research and how fast paced and quickly evolving the specialty was. Then once I realized how much I could help people have healthy happy children who wouldn't otherwise — that's by far the most rewarding aspect."
