    Fabulous

I was disappointed to read the previous reviews on this page because the restaurant deserves so much more. The food is always so fresh, colourful and delicious. In terms of price and quality it can't be beat. i suggest you try it for yourself. It is one of my absolute favourite restaurants. They don't seem to have a lot of cutomers which is a huge mystery to me. Honestly, you will not be disappointed unless you are a highly critical person.

    Going Downhill

I frequented this place when it first opened because the price was alot less than others around and the food was great. My family went again over the holidays, and although the place was dead, the service was terrible. It took forever for food to come out, it was bland, and we had to serve ourselves water, get cutlery and napkis because the waiter just couldn't figure it out. The price has also increased, and they charge you even more on the all you can eat menu if you want sashimi. No other place does this. So while I loved it when it opened, it is going downhill. The previous restaurants in that location have all failed and I have a feeling if Annalisa keeps running its business this way, they just might too.

I have not come here for months after one of the waiters tried charging us for food we didn't want! The food tastes good at the time but it does not digest well. The rice is too sweet but since it's an all you can eat menu i am not surprised at how hard they try to fill you up.

    Disappointed

My lady took me here last night for my birthday. We thought we will try something new as we are both sushi lovers. The place was quiet, with less than 10 people, but we kept having to find the waiter. The rolls are too loose and fall apart too easily. The pad thai was a little soggy. This makes you wonder if trying to do both Japanese and Thai food end up sacrificing on quality and details. Other than the atmosphere which we like, the food and services left a lot to be desired in our opinion.

    Amazing!!!!!

My friend and I wanted to try this place out because they have all you can eat sushi for only $18.99 - cheaper than other places in Aurora/Newmarket. The food was amazing, and the price included unlimited drinks. The all you can eat menu has stuff for everyone. The rolls were so fresh, the soup came out piping hot and tasted delicious. A week later we tried take-out and it was just as delicious. The pad thai, vietnemese fried rice, and curry dishes were excellent. Other than the price, the best part was that we could order thai, and japanese from the same restaurant! It was a great experience both times and I cannot wait to go back again!!!!

    OMG-The Food Is FABULOUS!!!

People of Aurora and Newmarket!!! Sit up and take notice of this hidden jewel at the old Trio Restaurant location on Yonge Street! We found this place after plugging in "Best Places to Eat, Aurora, Ontario" and this popped up - we had a simply outstanding dinner here tonight (July 23/10). This restaurant has lots of clean, futuristic design elements and with it's subdued lighting, we enjoyed an upscale atmosphere at EXTREMELY reasonable prices. It wasn't packed but it certainly had people coming and going all night (for take out, too)! The waiters and waitresses and kitchen staff all hustled and bustled in and out....we had the feeling of youth and vitality and a lot of serious young restauranteurs working hard at a labour of love. But now the important part...the food! My husband, son and I are all real foodies - we appreciate great food, which can be hard to find in these neck of the woods (there, i said it, somebody had to). We started with a shared order of #A5 Cold Roll with Shrimp which was beautiful to look at, fresh to taste and when dipped in that fabulous peanut sauce with a hint of something we just couldn't identify but LOVED, it was WOW!! Shazaam!! Then we had the LOBSTER Tempura Appetizer which was like HEAVEN in my MOUTH!! Get this....$8.99 but it was on special: .99 cents if our dinner order was over $30!!! It was amazing: it was beautifully plated with a bright red lobster tail shell, 6 big chunks of succulent lobster and thick cut slices of zucchini and eggplant, all tempura'd up...EXCELLENT! We will definitely order this again at the full price. For our entrees, we all ordered Annalisa's Signature Combo #AL3Japanese (good thing i brought the take out menu home, huh?!), me with beef terriyaki, the boys with chicken (will that be white meat or dark?!). The entree came with a delcious mushroom miso soup (hubby said: mmm! earthy!), an avocado salad (OMG delcious)...wow, allll this BEFORE our entree arrived. Couldn't believe how much food!! It was beautiful to look at: We each received a large compartment tray with rice, 2 shrimp tempura, 3 deep fried scallops, 3 slices of california roll with ginger, a beautiful melange of exotic smoky stir fried onions/red peppers/mushrooms/zucchini and a yummy beef teriyaki on a bed of specialty lettuce...I could barely finish (i was going to take it home)...even my bottomless-pit teenage son said those magic words "I'm full!" All this deliciously and lovingly prepared (i could tell, i'm a foodie I told ya) food was only $14.99...MAN we were impressed. Oh, and just when you thought you were going to waddle out, I leaned over to my husband and whispered, "I think it includes dessert..." His eyes widened "NO WAY!" It did. We were presented with 6 miniature proliferoles puffs filled with ice cream and dusted with icing sugar and dollops of whipped cream to share.Hubby's eyes rolled back into his head...teenage son tried to convince me that i already had two (i only had one...honest!) and then like a sweet dream it was over. What a meal people. It's my new favourite place and I plan on telling all my grrlfriendz...THIS is where we're going for our next get together. BRAVO Annalisa's!! OUTSTANDING!
