What's not to like?

Went out to Papa Joe's for breakfast a couple weeks ago at the recommendation of a friend. We were met with a friendly face and voice from the moment we stepped inside. The food was superb, the portions were huge (almost needed takeout), the service was top notch and the owner came over personally to check how things were. Other than most people being Leafs fans, it was great so Mr. Bruin and his family will definitely go back.

Does Papa Joe know the meaning of &quot;hot&quot;?

The service was great. The atmosphere...it's clean and bright however it does feel a little like a department store cafeteria and when my over easy eggs arrived to the table COLD and over hard the cafeteria feeling really set in. I used to go to the managements old restaurant across the street from the hospital and the eggs there were always cold too. Maybe they should warm up their plates, invest in some new heat lamps or turn the kettle on?

My friend really loves the French toast here. The coffee was a tad strong for my liking, and there was no milk on the table, only creamers. The fruit cup was clearly made in-house - some of the fruit was browning and the pineapple, pears, plums and honeydew were tough. The sausage was good and so were the homefries, though a titch salty. The scrambled eggs (which are my measuring stick for any restaurant breakfast) were cold and disappointing. The server was efficient.

We were disappointed at our last visit as the...

We were disappointed at our last visit as the food was not as good. Service was still very fast and great but a real let down food wise. I hope it was just that night because it was good and plentifull. The meat in the gyros was dried and corners were hard. My partner's shish kebab was tough and blend.

I went to this place on a night out with my parents after they have been talking about how much they liked it. I wasn't let down. Service was quick and every part of the meal was really tasty. All of us left very satisfied and will certainly go back again.
