I spend most weekends in Collingwood. I've eaten in many restaurants in the area, but haven't been to the Post in a while. The last time I was there was under the old ownership and couldn't believe how bland the food was, and how dirty and unkept the restaurant was. I counted no less than 5 dead flies on the window sills. I previously had the baked penne carbonara and it had no flavour. The waiter told me they used 2 % milk instead of cream ! I heard there were new owners and decided to give it a try last week with my husband and two friends. The place was spotless (and no dead flies !), service incredible and one of the best meals we've all had in a while. We especially loved the curry and halibut & chips, and pasta. Amazing desserts ! We will all definitely go back.
Came in for lamb curry. The last time I'd had it (2-3 yrs ago), there were chunks of tender lamb in a creamy yellow curry sauce - delicious. This time, I don't know whether the chef has changed, but the curry was the worst I've ever had. Tasteless ground meat of some description, a bland sauce with far too many onions. I had asked for it hot, but it was far from it. After asking for hot sauce, extra "curry" sauce was provided - the best I can say is that after applying the sauce, at least the "curry" was wetter. My wife ordered an Asian salad, which sounded good on the menu. When it arrived, she was asked if she wanted dressing - none of which was suited to an "Asian" salad. Never again.

10 of us eat there Saturday afternoon. The food was very good. Most people ordered the Crispy Chicken Wrap, which was excellent. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Panini with a side Caesar salad and it was very good. Good selection of draft beers. The waitresses were very friendly and the service was prompt. Will definitely go back!!!

We love the Post, the food & service can be off occasionally but overall the best pub in the area. We had an excellent meal & service, the only place I will order steak, I am very picky, like my meat well done. Great ceaser, the pickled bean is unique.

Food was good typical pub food, service not bad, and during New Years, a band called Oscars Strut played. Amazing, just amazing I am not sure who Underfire is but Oscars Strut was hands down the best band I've seen in years. The band alone was well worth the visit to the Admiral's Post.
Food fantastic, great service, and the best part of all the band. I think there called Underfire, girl on harmonica. If you ever see them advertised go to the show you will not be disappointed. Excellent music, good food, great times what could be better ?????
It was a good surprise to find this restaurant open on Jan. 1. We enjoyed our dinner very much....a nice way to start off the New Year in our new home town.

We always enjoy stopping in at the Admirals post due to its extremely friendly service and delicious food. We never wait over 20 minutes to get our food and we are always asked how we are enjoying our meal. Overall, we would recommend this restraunt to anyone looking for great service and excellent food.
Went with family from Britain. Ok for a pub. Service was good except the waitress forgot to order one meal. Quickly rectified to our satisfaction. I have been a few times before. Cant say I have met the obnoxious bar tender yet they have always been nice to us. Would recommend for a quick filling meal, especially the Guiness stew....and not too expensive.
