I have tried several restaurants on Danforth and none of them can compare to Zorba's. The souvlaki ( chicken and pork) is tender and flavored to perfection. The greek salad is very tasteful. Saganaki and also Moussaka are worth trying too. The decor not the best, but the food and prices are unbeatable.

I went this place after reading the good reviews but it was a disappointment.
I ordered pork souvlaki because it said that's their specialty. When the food came, meat was half charred and totally dry and although I thought the spice rub was unique I didn't like my dinner overall.
The portion was good pretty big and dinner comes with salad of your choice. The salad was delicious. Feta cheese crumbles were so tasty.
Next time I go to Greek town I don't think I will go there. I will try other restaurants in the area.

The best Greek food in Toronto, but it's best to order from the specials that are ready at the front counter. I have never been disappointed even once with the food unlike most places.
Went to this place as I was highly recommended form the NOW Magazine. Well on my day of visit, the place was very busy. The atmosphere was very authentic, just like in a tavern in Greece (I am from Europe). Perhaps why most of the clients where obviously Greek.
I ordered spinakopita (spinach pie) as appetizer and things started very well as this was by far one of the best I ever had.
As the main dish arrived I then was very dissapointed. The gyro was't crispy at all and tasted very flat. The meant tasted and looked as ready made up pieces just steamed in hot water. The only think that helped it was the tzaziki sauce I ordered (extra). This was homemade and very very good. But as saied the meat wasn't. The potato which came with it was ok but to cook a potato is not very hard :) Perhaps as this place was so busy the meat couldn't grill right as they prepared so many dishes. But in other places are crowded too as it tastes better.
Well I couldn't understand why this ace got such an awesome rating in NOW (even in there travel guide) but some of the dishes they recommended there wheren't even available (anymore?).
As so many Greeks attended that restaurant maybe it's used to be better. I can't imagine why they should go to a bad place. Therefore I will give them another chance and see again.
