Chunk of Chicken in their "Apple Mary" dessert??
We chose Casey's this year for our Valentines day dinner. The drinks were great (beers, strawberry daquerie, and another fruity one I can't remember the name of - but really good). We had the spinach dip for an appetizer - also really good. I ordered the ribs and wings - my ribs were burnt (black on the bottom with tinfoil stuck to the bones) but I didn't complain about this since it took forever to get our meal. I figured I'd order their signature dessert - the Apple Mary and all would be forgotten. About one third of the way through there was a huge chunk of meat. The manager came over and made a joke about it and asked if I wanted something else - by this time my stomach was completely turned. They didn't charge me for the Apple disaster that I didn't eat but there is a certain level of trust that you put into the people that are preparing your food...and I can't trust them. Our bill was over $110 with everything....and I'll take my business elsewhere next time....that was disgusting!
First off, they need to update their menu, only two options for vegetarians, secondly, they messed up both orders of salads - 1st didn't have ceaser dressing on and the 2nd had the wrong dressing.
When complained they brought a tube of ceaser dressing to our table!
Veggie burger tasted like it was made weeks ago and just pre-heated, so dry. My friend was missing the topping for her fish (salas mix) and kept being servered by two waitors which was very confusing. After we could swallow what we could we were asked if we wanted the bill from the 2nd server, said, yes then after signing the 1st waitor came by asking how we would like to pay? so confusing...need to get organized people!

Whenever our family can't decide on a restaurant we are always willing to fall back on casey's. You can always expect great food, friendly service and if you don't pay attention to the random decor the atmosphere is nice and very family friendly. Fair prices and an average wait. It may not be over-the-top spectacular but it is a good meal especially if you have cooked all week and need a break.
I usually watch server's service towards other people and myself. I was very happy with my server she has treated everyone equally, she was VERY very upbeat and definitely made our meal more enjoyable. I would eat here everyday!
We went to Casey's in Guelph for the first time this summer. The special of the day was grilled grouper, and it was fantastic - fresh and tasty. My husband had the steak and really enjoyed it. Our veggies were colourful and varied, sauteed lightly so they still had a nice crunch to them, and not over-seasoned. We will definitely come back to try some more of the menu offerings.
We have been here a few times. The atmosphere of the bar area and restaurant are nice. The menu is decent, they have enough variety to please most people. I have had their burgers, it was definitely good, salad was good. My gf had their vege burger, it was way too garlicky and actually ruined her meal. I had a bite of it and couldn't believe it, it had to have been a mistake. But we read some other reviews and found a few others complaining about it. I think there wine is overpriced, they do two wine glass sizes, the smallest is almost laughable for $8.
I'd probably go back sometime, no rush tho.

the appetizers were out in 8 minutes . if you like chips the tornado patato is a must , you talk about it later , the lobster and crab dip comes with either tortila chips and nana bread ask for both it was good . i thought thare was not enough lobster or crab ,my wife corrected me and say it was just right well or it be overpowering .
she had the chicken crock which was a chicken pot pie in a crockpot , i was good and hearty. the boy had a steak sandwich he really enjoyed it but he thought the fat sholuld be trimed a little more.i had the half rib , a bit tougher than i expected but the extra rib sauce on the side was a treat.

My family and I went here for my birthday. We were sat immediately by our server and she offered us some celebratory drinks. My daughter, my husband and I all had some daquiris and my two other children had juices. We ordered a red pepper soup for all of us to start and steaks as our entrees. The soup was absolutely delectable and our steaks were cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic. We will be back for sure.

my friend and I were seated in the bar, by request, in a timely manner. Pretty sure the lady who sat us was the manager. She was very nice. I love the atmosphere in this restaraunt!!! Dark, but clean, and upscalish. The servers are dressed very nicely, tray service is required of them. I hope they are paying these people a professional wage!!!
Although the girl that was serving the bar area seemed a bit swamped, she was consistently talking to us to let us know she hadn`t forgotten we were there.
We split all of our food. Shared the lobster and crab dip, which was amazing as usual. The only thing that could possibly make it better, is if they were to use real lobster and crab, but I know how expensive that is.We then shared the Shrimp linguine dish. Also amazing! The pesto cream sauce was delicious. Not too thick, not too thin. Just right. And then dessert.... wow! So tasty!!!
Only other thing I would recommend, is to change the pinot grigio from a light bodied to a medium bodied wine on the drink menu. Was definitly a little heavier than I had expected it to be.

The food was ok, but I think I didn't like as much as other people would've because I don't like green bell peppers and onions and it was full of them, so I ate only about half the dish. It would've been nice if the menu description had those ingredients and then I wouldn't have ordered it and actually picked something I'd like.
The atmosphere was great though--modern, clean, nice. Service was quick and friendly, and they ended the meal in a timely manner too (table clearing and paying for the bill), which I find many other restaurants tend to flounder with in terms of service.

The last experience was just O.K. We waited in the bar area for 20 minutes, which was less then we had been told. The restaurant was very busy and we thought that we would be waiting longer as is the custom in most restaurants. Once sat our waitress, Amy was very pleasent and helpful and had our food out to us in only 20 minutes, WOW. The taste of the Fire Beef was awsome and the nacho's better than expected. A manager came by and checked on us as well. I must say that it was one of the most enjoyable visits to any restaurant that I've had in a long time. Keep it up Casey's.

I don't like writing bad reviews but for a family restaurant like this we had some real concerns. Firstly the food was awful. There was four of us (2 adults and 2 children). We ordered the chicken fingers and fries for the kids and the fries were hard and inedible. Even the kids complained. The fish and chips were horrible as well. I ordered a stir fry and it was bland and tasteless. The table was filthy and needed a good cleaning. The service people were nice and accomodating but that's not enough.
