2 of us had breakfast, very generous portions & i had the fries & gravy. One of the best ive had. We go for breakfast once a month & am very happy with the food.

We have on other occassions dined at The Bright...

We have on other occassions dined at The Bright Spot when we first moved to Hamilton 3 years ago and had found it to be good and reasonable... but not Great. The portion sizes are not that large for the price's and on some occassions have found an item or 2 served to me that made me think it was reheated from a prevous earlier serving that was sent back, as whatever I ordered was over cooked, or 'reheated from the previous night.(?) Our last visit was for my birthday which happened to fall on Thanksgiving, and we were very disappointed with our meal. The entire Turkey Dinner tasted 'funny' maybe the wrong spices on the Turkey as well we felt the Turkey itself was rubbery and overcooked.. maybe because it had sat drying before it was served? The Mashed Potatoes were solid and lumpy and tasted gross. We have not been back since. But I have suggested it to family before.. they're just not interested in going back.. However I found thier home-made soups are very good! And they do seem to do a brisk business from the No Frills Clients, so to each thier own.. I'd try the Bright Spot again myself to see if there's any new menue changes.. butI wont travel there just for a meal unless I had other business in the area again.

The lunch menu is great and very reasonable. They have the best burgers and gravy. The owner has been great to our family for years... Cheers Bill.
