Second time at the queenston location. First time had an egg sandwich...can't mess that up. Second and last time in, had a Cowboy Wrap. It was just drenched in oil....disgusting, I think it was supposed to be a beef stir fry in a wrap. I told the waitress, she said "don't shoot the messenger" I guess they get lots of complaints about the food and she was used to it.
I have been here several times and the breakfasts have been excellent, but other meals average. Their coffee is very good and the bacon pieces are large, thick, and never undercooked rubbery or overcooked burnt. Portions for all meals are generous and prices are reasonable. I have found dinner entrees to range from adequate to fairly good .... considering this is a diner and not an upscale restaurant, you are actually getting a good bang for your buck here.
I normally go for breakfast and love the Wimpy's Big breakfast ! for what you pay and what you get you can't go wrong. The Wimpy burgers are great as well. For the atmosphere can use some work for sure, the service is nothing special but still worth going for sure.
I went for breakfast on a weekday when I knew I could get a seat. For the price, I don't know anywhere else that can compete with them for price and quality. The toasted western was huge, and very tasty. Service was prompt and friendly.
I had the worst meal ever, i ordered eggs and toast, and the toast had mold on it. I let the waitress know, and she gave me a free meal, dont get me wrong people were nice. But i really dont care that i got a free meal and had good service, i almost ate mold! The to top it off, there were 5 of us, and the restaurant was cramped and crowded. Never will i go there again.
Wife and I ordered 2 of their daily specials, which were hot and tasty. We have found that their soups are always tasty. Overall you can't beat the value. Also this is a great place for breakfast, but just try and get a seat.
love this place it is clean and very nice waitress i work in the food industry and so i can relate to there job been to many wimpys diners and all very good good portions and fast cook times will definitly be back soon !!
- Hamburger and onion rings were pretty good. Waited at least 10-15 minutes before someone came over to take our order for drinks. - Waitress failed to mention the specials, which annoyed me because I would've ordered something from the special's menu after I noticed them posted in a corner, afer I placed my order. - After our meal our waitress also failed to mention that she left our bill on the table, next to a bunch of dirty plates out of my field of vision. I waited around for another 15 minutes thinking she hadn't brought our bill yet. - The booster seat my child sat in was quite dirty, but was the only one with straps on it. I also had to get the booster seat myself, which I found was a little odd. This would probly be a great place to eat if it wasn't for the horrible server/shoddy booster seats.
FOOD WAS HOT AND TASTY, SERVICE WAS OK. BEST FEATURE OF THIS DINER IS THE VALUE
Where do I start. We arrived at Wimpy's and 1:10 pm. The waitress that seated us couldn't smile if she tried. Even walked away from us in mid sentence. The other waitress took our order right away but took 10 minutes to bring us the coffee. Another couple that sat at the bar after we arrived received their coffee even before they got their menus. We waited 25 minutes for food which never came. During that time another couple that was seated 10 minutes after us got their order first. We told the waitress to cancel the order. She didn't seem to care. She replied "Oh, Okay." And we left. Sam the owner used to have a great staff there in the past that actually cared about their customers. Not anymore.
This place is just awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and food came in the average amount of time. We were going to get dessert but that massive burger (which we did'nt finish) had us full as heck for roughly 3 days. Not the place to be if you are on a diet because of all the grease. Also the gravy they give you is spectacular. And as for the jukebox, me and my baby found our song <3 (bobby bare). Definately go there again (when me and him are ready of course!).

My dad my Uncle Glen and I go to this diner every single saturday morning.They have the breakfast and I have the Jumbo Hotdog combo everyweek.The atmoshpere is very inviting and the waitresses could not be anymore nice.Being regulars Francine and the other girls great us like freinds.Its a very nice place to eat.The food is absolutly excellent.And you recive a huge plat for a small price.It is my favorite resturant and I can't recommend it enough.I bring family and freinds there all the time.And they leave agreeing with me.
Great food. Great portion size. Great price. Love the small atmosphere. Don't even mind the wait. Like the fact you can see the kitchen and your food being cooked. All you can eat fish and chips on friday nights is the best deal anywhere!
I could not believe the value this meal was. I was presented a plate full of lettuce, tomotoes and tons of feta cheese and black olives.. Topped with more than a breast of Chicken.. I was so pleased with the meal. I will come time and time again to this place. and tell all my friends
