I enjoy the servers and the food is always consistent. I appreciate that they do not deep fry and the patio is nice to sit on and watch main street.
The Buffalo Chicken sandwich was fresh and not greasy like so many other places. The chicken breast was plump and juicy. Very flavorful. Accompanied with a side garden salad, it was a crisp, heathy alternative to the usual fried companion... The bartenders were friendly and conversive with me at the right time...never when my mouth was full... Good job ladies, I'll be back for more of The Queens Bush! LOL
I like this place, never dissapoints. The service is bang on. The servers are always attentive and polite and so nice. They make you feel welcome and seem like they honestly enjoy their job. The food is fresh and good, with great portions. It is always clean so are the bathrooms....good music playing... My one complaint or rather suggestion would be to revamp the menu a bit. Its been the same for some time now and some new additions would be wonderfull to see. I do hear alot of people saying the same thing. It would be wonderfull to see it changed out every 6 months or so, like other good non franchise restaurants do to keep things modern and fresh and new. QB is a great place!
Queen's Bush is always a consistently good, non-deep fryer equipped pub. The food is made in an open style kitchen and all the ingredients are relatively fresh. Don't expect the greasy fryer food, this pub strays away from that, which, to some of my friends is a downfall. A very healthy "selection" and a great alternative to your generic wings, burgers, fries... If you have a gluten allergy you can order some of the sandwiches on gluten free bread, just remind the staff not to put croutons in your salad. The excellent selection of spirits as well as some local brews, local wines and a great local cider makes it an enjoyable watering hole. Visiting this pub usually once a month, I have never really been disappointed; it's steadily good! I would have to say this is the nicest pub in Hanover...
I went in for dinner on my own the food was decent pub food, tasty, fresh and they had some interesting options on the menu. The service was great and the local beers on tap were a plus.
This place is an average neighborhood bar. The waitresses are cheerful and always fun. The food is OK, not bad, not great but the patio is the best seat in town in the summer!
We visited the Queens bush last friday night and it was GREAT! The food is fresh and prepared in front of you, the taste is amazing, the service is outstanding and the atmosphere is exactly what you would want in a pub. WAY TO GO QUEENS BUSH! This place is a GREAT addition to Hanover and VERY needed. Keep it up! We will be back and will be telling people about our fabulous experience!
Visited this pub last friday. We waited FOREVER for drinks...then we were shocked when we overheard the wait staff, all milling around the till, gossiping about people NON STOP! this continued throughout our ENTIRE MEAL. gossiping about patrons, gossiping about friends, gossiping about eachother..... NOT GOOD! we will NOT return. EVER.
The atmosphere is awsome and the service is always friendly. A great place to go and have a bite to eat or a few drinks with friends. The only thing i am disappointed with is when i found out the soup is not homemade. Its sad in this day that most restaurants don't make their own soup. Anyway that is the only negative thing i have to say about the place...so now i just get the salad when i go!
So, I walk in and always get a great welcoming from who is working, always offer me something to drink right away. and the QB "Queens Bush" always looks great, Clean also always has a great variety of beer on tap from throughout Canada!
The Queen's Bush Pub is definately the only place to go in Hanover. The food is delicious, the service is attentive, and the entertainment is both unique and fun. My favourite part has to be how welcoming the staff is. Both the owners are so approachable, as well the the waitresses (not to mention good looking). I think our servers name was Steph, and boy was she a sweetheart. As to the review below...If you do not want to be bothered about drinking and driving, than DONT DO IT. Your server is doing his/her job since it is their tush on the line. If you want to be an idiot do it from your own home, and try not to kill anyone while your at it!
For business or personal, The Queen's Bush is an exceptional place to visit for dining or just to socialize. The most consistenly reliable dining choice in Hanover. The meals are equally impressive as the tasteful decor. The staff are very attentive and I have never had to wait for service. Always greated with a friendly smile and hello. Very committed to their community as they are actively involved in various community awareness projects like supporting Big Brothers Big Sister and Autism Awareness to name a couple. Great patio area and lanscaping!! A real compliment to Hanover and area!! Ken and Darlene
It is a nice place to get together with friends. It can get busy so you might want to go early. The price of food is kind of pricey but it is good.
