best nachos ever

These were the greatest nachos I've ever had. Plenty of cheese and toppings and not too many chips left bare, like most places. We also ordered the Tokyo beef wrap which was simply roast beef in a wrap and was very dry with little flavor. If we only ordered nachos, I would have scored them 5 stars on food. Service was ok, seemed like all the other tables were getting attention and not us. My beer was empty for a while and it took a while for us to get the bill, with empty glasses. The dessert menu was non existent too, just a cheesecake. We would still come back for nachos.

It was a cute little place with a great view! The staff were really friendly and the food was good. Delicious Asian-inspired steak salad.

AWESOME

This restaurant/pub is AWESOME, hands down I can't say it enough. So great that I would drive 4 hours from home JUST to go again for dinner or lunch. The setting/atmosphere/location, beautiful. Sat outside right along the docks, watched several boats go by pass by etc. We had 2 servers, not 1 but 2, and there was always 1 of them right on us, not overbearing but enough to say hey we didn't forget you, we're not too busy talking about what we did last night, we're here to serve you and make you enjoy your time! I think the most different thing about this restaurant as already mentioned, was its not your traditional everyday pub food you see at least for sides. I don't believe they have fries, they go for a healthier alternative on their menu. Both my bf and I ordered burgers, I got salad with mine (SO Delicious) and he got nachos with his (wasn't what he excepted as it was just tortilla chips with some salsa on the side, see what i mean by healthy side ;) ). The burger, tasted fresh, like they had made it themselves, not like it had been frozen and or bought from a regular store like the restaurant we visited the next day. FULL of flavor. I was certainly NOT disappointed at all with this visit. And I'll definitely be returning.

I lived in Huntsville for a while and I ate here probably twenty times or more. The food was always top-class, period. They serve diverse stuff rather than pub generics--the jerk chicken and reuben for instance don't pull any punches taste-wise. Overall it has excellent pub food and definitely holds its own as a restaurant. Barring the classiest tourist-oriented restaurants, it serves the best food in town.

Ordered the two specials for the day, Ham and Swiss cheese on a bun and jerk chicken soup. The bun was, well, a bun. How can you screw up something that simple? (Fortunately they didn't) The soup however was another story - SUPERB! Worth the trip up from Toronto. Watch out though, it gets spicier as you eat it. If you're the type of person who automatically shakes some salt and pepper into your soup it might not be a wise idea with this one. I ordered a pint of the local brew but the tap sputtered into oblivion as the barkeep attempted to pour it, so I had something else, can't remember what. The view from the balcony is quite nice, and very relaxing. This is my first time here despite visiting Huntsville a few times a year, it will definitely not be my last!
