We've been going to this restaurant since it opened 9 years ago! One of our favourite Asian places to eat. Clean restaurant, and the food is excellent, some traditional Vietnamese dishes, as well as some more "Western" ones too, like my favourite # 44!!
My fiance and I are frequent visitors of Que Huong, so I decided I should finally write a review. It's a nice little restaurant, it's got a small dining room and it's never very busy. The owner is always your server, he's exceptionally friendly and always very helpful. The food is great and always comes out quickly. It's got quite a large menu for such a small place and they've always had what I wanted. The price is perfect for those of us on a budget, and it's private atmosphere is much prefered to what you usually get when trying to get a cheap meal out. I would recommend this place to everyone! Be sure to try the Vietnamese coffee or the mango milkshake, they're both awesome!
Been twice and will certainly be there again soon, Fantastic authentic Vietnamese food and two people can have apps, main, drinks and dessert for around 40$. Can't beat that value! The menus are very helpful as there are clear pictures of every item. Very clean and friendly atmosphere.
Best pad thai ever! and their fresh spring rolls - they call them salad rolls here - are the best in town! The service was friendly and the place felt cozy with the partition in the middle. I will be back for sure!
I do not want to say too many bad things, as I do know the owner (who also owns the New Mekong right next door) but I will tell you the truth. The day my group and I went there, we sat down in what seemed to be a completely vacant building. Not a single customer from the time we entered to the time we left. We waited for about 5 minutes before anyone realized we were there. Once we made our orders, it took another 15 minutes of waiting to receive our food. By far, the worst was waiting for our bill. We sat around for almost half an hour just waiting (in some cases looking) for someone. We could have easily walked out without paying, however, we didn't. Slow service, bland food, I wouldn't recommend it.
I miss this restaurant. When I lived in London I went all the time and have yet to find a better Thai place... :( The service was always friendly. The staff always remembered me and what I liked to order, even if I took a 6 month hiatus. It has been about 1 1/2 yrs now, wonder if they would still know? :) Best Pad Thai! Best SPring ROlls! I am so sick of getting the sweet Pad Thai...(brown sugar based), I like it hot and red. ;) Will be going again really soon!
I am writing while I gag. Being a huge fan of Toronto Thai and Vietnamese and recently moved here I was excited at the prospect of having some good food. In addition to previously wading through a mediocre pad thai, I found myself choking on a piece of scrunched up paper disguised as a WONTON today. When I called the restaurant to in the least inform the cook, I was told, "No you didn't [EAT PAPER]". Talk about NON customer service excellence. Really now. Don't bother folks. It ain't worth the $$ and the health risks.
This was the second time we visited. only because we forgot how bad the first time was. (which i regained memory of as our meal went along). ordered large pho instead of small or medium because we thought it would feed 2. portion was about the size of a small at any other viet place. and it was priced at a premium noodles are the round slimy kind. not the flat traditinal kind. beef broth was so flavourless it was shameful. and anyone who knows pho knows its all in the soup. the elderly owner lady looks nice and harmless enough, but no word of a lie I saw her scoop stuff out of bins and warm it up for the "lunch special" consisting of dry day-old fried rice and lemon grass "chicken" (nasty and rubbery) this was the last straw: asked her for tea. and she said "later, ok?!" and we were the ONLY ppl in the restaurant. help me understand that. will never go again!!!!

What a pleasant surprise! We just moved to London a few weeks ago and there are not many places to eat in the north east. After seeing the reviews here, we decided to give it a try. Dont be fooled by the outdoor strip mall location. The place is clean, nicely decorated and the food is fresh, tasty and not greasy. Being the food snobs that we are, we were really happy with our meal and will definitely return. We paid $40 but we ordered too much food. They also have some cheap lunch specials. Can't understand why we were the only ones in there for dinner on a Saturday!

This is a little gem of a place that's waiting to be discovered!! Clean inviting atmospher. Beautiful collection of orchides. The food was truly authentic and delicious. We had a wonderful experiences. You will not be disappointed!!Highly recommended
When calling to order the gentleman on the phone was very helpful in describing some popular items, describing his pad thai as the "best in town." We were definitely not disappointed, the spring rolls were so fresh with a deliciously spicy sauce we dipped them into. The curry chicken soup with noodles was so flavourful. The pad thai was just as we liked it and the beef dish had lots of vegetables and a uniquely delicious sauce. The portions were great. We will be ordering there again.
Welcoming ambiance and tastefully decorated. Service was friendly and very accommodating. The food was amazing! The menu was very thorough - complete with descriptive background info, authentic ingredients and yummy photos! The mark of authentic food begins with all the special herbs and spices inherent to their country which they used generously with every dish we tried. We ordered everything they recommended: Beef pho with all the herbal garnishes, crispy springrolls with gicoma and taro root (original taste like no other), succulent beef cubes tossed with watercress salad, and mouth-watering Vietnamese bouillabaisse. Everything was satisfying and delectable. This has been our best Vietnamese food experience! Highly recommended, again and again!
The food was superb. the spring rolls were the best i've had in my life. we were greeted with a friendly smile and service was quick. large dining room. The atmosphere was excellent. Washrooms are clean and big. Love the Photos on the walls. I recommend this place to everyone.
