Billings Lodge Retirement Community is an ever-changing facility designed to accommodate the varying physical, social and psychological needs of seniors within a communal, homelike environment. The complex, located in South Ottawa, is an extension of Billings Lodge, a family-owned and operated retirement home opened in 1984. The Brunet family has been instrumental in caring for the seniors of Ottawa - Carleton since 1957. Management and staff strive to provide a pleasurable and rewarding atmosphere, where we hope people can age in one location, knowing those who care for them and those they live with,are a neighbourhood of friends.

At Billings Lodge Retirement Community, we're dedicated to providing our residents with nutritious food, so that they can enjoy a healthy life at our facility. We provide 3 meals on a daily basis, with ample choices available to suit individual tastes. Additionally, we serve 3 snacks a day in our lounge areas. Our full-service dining room and lounge are created with our residents' comfort and convenience in mind. We pay special attention to their health and wellness, which is why we also prepare therapeutic diets following physicians' specifications. Rest assured all our food is prepared on our premises.     My father is a resident who was flourished in the home environment at the lodge . The caring and compassionate staff who always go the extra mile to make him feel like he belongs . The food is far superior to many of the other homes out there.

    Terrible food! Lots of canned foods with lots of sugar. Terrible uncaring nurses and personal support workers, who treat residents more like prisoners than people. The owner is only interested in the money as are the staff who put their needs and schedule ahead of the residents. Overall, a bad experience made worse by lack of compassion and communication between staff and residents. The building is old and facilities are very heavily used!
