Went to the Fossil and Haggis for lunch during a sports tourney at Scar Campus, The food was disgusting and the staff could not care less. I travel extensively and eat out regularly-we all (7) left our food on the table as it was that bad-tough to mess up seven lunches. DO NOT GO THERE!!
If you carry too many bags in with you, they will refuse to seat you because "you could be carrying alcohol in those bags and we could get in trouble for it." Not even a 'hello, welcome to fossil and haggis', just 'you can't come in with those bags'.
In the one previous instance when I was actually seated and received service, their menu seemed to have standard pub fare, such as shepherds pie, wings and the such. My group ordered huge batches of wings and beer, and after a long (long) wait (30-40 minutes), finally got the food, which was standard, nothing to write home about. Everything was just standard, not outstanding. Unfortunately I would not put up with their hostility and poor service ever again for just standard fare, nor can I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to be welcomed. Therefore, goodbye fossil and haggis, guess you don't want my business.
I don't think there is better pub in all of Scarborough. I'm really lucky to live close but have visited many locales in my time and I've never had such good food and beer at great prices. And the bonus, there's always something going for entertainment. Especially thurs. nights with Phil and John. Keep on rocking. Love the hair.

I hadn't been to the Fossil in close to 6 years. The last time I went a few friends and I ordered a few different appetizers and they were atrocious. This kept me away until yesterday.
I was in the mood for wings and my local pub closed down, so, I decided to give the Fossil another chance. I ordered hot wings and onion rings to go. The order arrived quickly and I was on my way, mouth watering the whole way home. Unfortunately the rings didn't travel well, and they had gotten a bit soggy and stuck together, my fault. The wings were probably the best I have had in Toronto. Large, meaty and perfectly sauced. They were pretty reasonable too. I am now kicking myself for staying away for so long. I can't comment on the rest of the menu, but the wings are worth the trip.

Big fan of the Anchor Bar wings in Buffalo, but I think the Fossil and Haggis wings are a close tie!
Wayne took us to this place a few years ago and have enjoyed going back ever since. The "three times" backed wings are very good, actually they are deep fried and then backed which is what makes them so good.
No other wings within a 50km area can compare!
The Wings here are the best I've ever had, and I've been a chicken HOG for a long time.
Get them medium triple baked with hot on the side.
The Pizza and soup are great too!
