My buddy and I had a groupon for $15 for $30 worth of food. This place was recommended to us by others so we gave it a shot and here is the following of what happened:

Scene: busy lunch at Corned Beef House
Enter two buddies
"Hey, seat yourself wherever you can" says a server
Two buddies sit down at a table. Server hands us menus. Buddies review and choose. Server then arrives to ask for drink and menu order.
Buddy one: "Hey I have a groupon..."
Server: "Yeah, we can handle that afterwards I just need your order right now as it is busy."
Buddy one: "uh, ok. Roast beef brisket platter" (continues to iron out exactly...i.e. Dijon, rye, fries...)
Server: "You?" points at Buddy Two with pen.
Buddy two: "Montreal Smoked Meat."
The server then hurries to the kitchen to order.
2 minutes goes by and water is received.
another 18 minutes goes by without communication from the server as she is serving many tables, notably 2 customers that came in after them got served.
Buddy One: "Excuse me."
Server: "Yes?"
Buddy One: "I'm just wondering how much longer for our food?"
Server: "You aren't the only one's here...It's really really busy. There's no way to hurry up the kitchen. I'm sorry."
Server walks off. Buddies then look at each other dumbfounded and decide to leave.

We then attempted to talk to a manager and he did not seem to care about our communication problem. Our appetites were squashed and ended up leaving.
TL;DR we had horrible service and ended up leaving. We talked to a manager who seemed to not care at all. If you don't care about your customers, these customers will not care about your establishment.
THIS IS A PLACE FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT REAL DELI!
This place sells the same branded smoked meat products that are available at dozens of other restaurants is the city.
The pricing is insane...
The portions are mediocre..
Tip:
Go to your local Rabba and buy sliced Corned Beef, Roast Beef or Pastrami for a for a fraction of the price--and similar quality!!!!!! Make your own sandwich..it's easy!
I go here a couple times a month, at off-peak times. Food is top quality and service is fast and friendly. It usually takes an hour to eat my usual order. Recommended.
Met a friend at the corned beef house and I must say that was the best lunch and bang for your buck I have ever had. started with the club sandwich which was made with real chicken and real bacon, lightly toasted and served with fries, best club I've had in ages. My buddy Ron had the COLLOSAL Corned Beef sandwich which I must admit is the biggest sandwich in Toronto, weighing in at 1 pound.
We shared the homemade apple pie with french vanila ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.....spectacular. And finally to cap it off we had an espresso each that was excellent.
I read the "best sandwiches in Toronto" article in Now magazine and the Corned Beef House was voted in as best Reuben sandwich in the city. We all had Reubens and the baked fries, the wait was long but the line up went out the door so well worth it.
We will return, but I think next time maybe we'll go on an off hour and not at there peak time.
If you've only got an hour for lunch, dont bother.
went for lunch, waited for approx. 45 minutes before saying to heck with this. how on earth can you have an eatery in downtown toronto and not be able to serve customers in a reasonable amount of time?

The hotel my wife and I stayed at strongly reccommended the Corned Beef House as the best Deli in Toronto. so we decided to try it and we loved it, juiciest corned beef I've ever had and the fries were baked to perfection. Washed it all down with a Boylans Orange cream soda pop, which my wife stated best " taste like a creamsicle in a bottle". Well worth the visit and we'll definitely be back
Best Montreal smoked meat sandwich outside of Montreal. boylans orange cream was like having a creamsicle melted inside the bottle and served ice cold. Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i finally had the chance to visit The Corned beef...
i finally had the chance to visit The Corned beef House after many rave reviews from freinds and associates and I must admit, the montreal smoked meat sandwich was the best Ive had in Toronto in years. The Boylans black cherry cola was FANTASTIC.
Being from New York we were in search of Toronto's best deli. Our concierge recommended the Corned Beef House. Not only did this gem of a place have the characteristics of an old stlye New York deli the food was unbelievable. Upon entering the restaurant were were greeted several time from friendly employees with a casual approach. We ordered corned beef, montreal smoked and reuben sandwiches...thye best sandwiches we have ever had, including from New York.
Overall this place was short of spectacular besides the heat the day was perfect. We finished our lunch off with some homemade cheesecake which was excellent as well as coffee, which was on the house big thumbs up to the owner of that idea.
We will definitely be comming back on our next visit to your wonderful city.

This Adelaide Street establishment has been serving up handmade, homemade Jewish deli food since 1978. The Montreal smoked meat sandwiches are available in three sizes: huge, gigantic and colossal. Wondering just how big that sammy really is? The meat is stacked approximately 8 cm high (that’s about 10 oz. of smoky, salty goodness) and served on rye bread and with an oversized dill pickle.
