We ordered from Simon Sushi before and it was ok. Today the rice was hard, rolls were sloppy and I couldn't even figure out it was a roll it looked so bad. They added a $7.50 tip without telling me and I tipped the driver another seven dollars, It was supposed to be free delivery with Just Eats. Four pieces of Tobiko become one bite of Tobiko in a piece of cucumber. For $10. So angry disappointed and hungry because the food is just awful. I feel so ripped off

Well worth suffering the DVP and finding parking just to visit this place. Fresh and cheap sushi, awesome miso soup, the dark atmosphere and disco balls make it that much fulfilling.

quality meal

I go to Simon Sushi again and again, mainly because it is close to work. But usually the meal I receive is quick, fresh, and consistently made with care. The fish seems to be of good quality, although I won't pretend to be a fish expert. The miso soup and salad are good as well. I would recommend this restaurant.

Comes with edamame which was great. The sashmi were cut much to thick. Thus it was hard to enjoy. I find the place decent but there are better locations, but if I am in this area and wanting sushi I would probably go back for more. I love their little oranges, since each time I eat it it is sweet.

This restaurant was cool. I like the idea how Simons face was all over the restaurant. It was really funny. My friend and I were laughing the whole time we were there. He had a funny pose. The food was secondary to us. It was okay and it tasted good but Simon was funnier, with his asian "DOMA" expression.

I heard about this place on Spadina for valued...

I heard about this place on Spadina for valued Sushi. So my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. To my surprise Simon himself greeted me at the door. The prices were fair, and the sizes of sushi were jusitified. Services was average as I would expect from value sushi. Overall, if you want decent sushi at reasonable prices, I would recommend it. If you are looking for a place to impress your date, this is not the place.

The price of the lunch special was decent...

The price of the lunch special was decent (similar to other sushi restaurants at lunch). The salad dressing wasn't made with a lot of ginger like most places, it was creamy; so if you don't like the common ginger dressing, you'll like their salad. The rolls were regular-sized and I have no complaints about them. However, if you were EXTREMELY hungry and hoping to get full, you might want to add an extra roll or appetizer to your bill.
