My beautiful new home is now perfect, thanks to Jason's tremendous handy work. He has worked on every room in the house, from small projects (grout work, installing towel bars, etc.) to large-scale (framing, dry walling, and painting for a new gas fireplace). Each project has had a gorgeous end result. Jason is meticulous in both his work and clean-up. It is a pleasure and a privilege to highly recommend this brilliant, trustworthy, non-smoking handyman.
Jason was interested, helpful and encouraging at every stage of the two large projects he did for us.
All scheduling and work was done as promised in a timely and efficient manner. From demolition to cleanup Jason and crew were thorough.

We were referred to Jason at Top Handyman to have our old deck torn down and a new one built. After several quotes fron different vendors we went with Jason as he was on time, listened to what we wanted and respected the budget we had set.
The work was to take place over one week. Everything from the delivery of materials, arrival of the bin, schedule of the build and the clean-up afterwards was very well done. Jason made sure that the communication was always kept open so there were not any surprises. Our new deck is just what we wanted and is so well built it will last a long time!
We would recommend Jason for handyman work and will have him back to our home for other projects!
I was impressed with Top Handyman the moment I received a call back only a short while after leaving a message with a description of my job. The first job my husband and I hired Top Handyman for was small, a task we simply didn't have the time for. Jason got it done quickly with the best materials and a guarantee for his work.
We hired Jason again to construct two new front porch posts that were rotting. After disposing of the old posts (and a colony of ants that he battled!) he explained how the previous posts should have been built to prevent rotting and told us how he strengthened the steps further while contructing the posts, this is not a handyman who cuts corners (except when he is making a corner!).
Jason is now in the process of finishing a final job for us - for now. We wanted some concrete patch work done on our retaining wall along our garden as well as some sealant on the side of our home. After scheduling an initial date Jason called us and suggested we wait for another day due to a forecast of rain. He didn't feel he could guarantee his work adequately and wanted to wait for the proper conditions so the job would be successful. I appreciated this honesty and was again impressed with his professional approach and assessment of how to proceed with the work. I truly felt that he wanted the work to turn out as best as it could.
Jason still has to come back to do a couple of touch ups, he is in touch with us giving us updates along the way and responds quickly to questions we have.
Jason approaches a job with precision and takes the work he is hired for seriously. He is also willing to take the time to speak to the client about the job, before, during and after - resulting in very happy customers, we're looking forward to hiring him again when we need to.
I have cultivated a long-standing business relationship with Top Handyman and have utilized their services on several major projects in my home. They have always been highly respectful, very professional, on time, thorough and have consistently delivered excellent quality of work. The owner in particular, has gone above and beyond my expectations and his contract obligations on numerous occasions to ensure every job was completed to the highest standard. My house is over 80 years old and presented some unique challenges. Jason and his crew met all of those challenges with a calm, positive and creative approach. No additional charges were ever incurred in spite of the extra time and materials and the results are stunning and flawless. Top Handyman not only renewed my house but also my trust in construction industry professionals.
We started out by hiring Top Handyman for a few smaller projects and were so pleased with both cost and quality that we later chose them to do a major renovation project which included the following: WINE CELLAR: a roughed-in cold room is now a completely finished wine cellar with drywall, ceramic tile, new (larger) window, pot lights and door; LOFT: an old attic is now a finished loft, opened to overlook the living room; BASEMENT: stairwell opened up at top and rebuilt with new oak steps and railings; Rec-Room completely re-finished (pot lights, oak floors, drywall); Other: hand-scraped oak floors throughout; 9 new doors; loft window - the list goes on. The work was impeccable and the cost was surprisingly affordable. The business owner was forthright and upfront concerning costs and did not skimp on materials or labor. He was direct and honest, explaining different aspects of the work, answering any questions with patience and a genuine interest in our needs. I have seldom come across any business in this industry that cares as much about quality and service. I enthusiastically recommend Top Handyman.
Top Handyman was recommended to us by friends. We had them re-tile our master bath which was in a sad state of disrepair and paint our kitchen. They were accomodating with respect to our budget and recommended ways to stay within it while still providing top quality work. The job was finished on time, on budget and by friendly professionals. And it looks fabulous! We have several more projects to do and will be calling on Top Handyman again.
I recently hired Top Handyman to do some odd jobs around my house including some drywall repair and changing out an old bathroom faucet. They were on time, very friendly and I am very happy with the work they did. I will definitely use their service again.
Top Handyman was a nightmare. While the worker was nice enough, his work was shoddy, sloppy and will need to be fixed by someone else. However the worst part about this company is the tactics employed by the owner who was unprofessional, condescending and hostile. When we had questions about costs soaring for no reason, we were told a sob story about his company being a small business. When we questioned the quality of the work we were shouted at and told that it was a big TSX trading business with no customer complaints. I feel cheated and completely disrespected. Money was not a concern for us, however, whenever I conversed with the owner, he directed the conversation to money. I understand this, but when I am asking about quality, he should address the work, not solely focus on cost. After payment, I was treated even worse. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I would have gladly paid more for professionalism with both work and customer treatment. Do you want to be shouted at, sworn at, talked down to, or talked in circles to? If not, don't go with Top Handyman. Homeowners should be able to question costs and quality, after all we work hard for our money. With Top Handyman I truly feel like I took my money, threw it in the toilet and flushed. Please save yourselves and choose someone else!!
Top Handyman prides itself on working closely with its customers throughout the job process in the most professional manner possible, this client being no exception. Extra steps were taken above and beyond usual protocol to ensure client satisfaction. Top Handyman did not leave the job site until final approval was given on all completed work and was at no point afterward notified that work did not meet expectations. If notified, Top Handyman would have returned and made any necessary changes with no extra cost incurred to the client.

Unprofessional professionals
We hired this company to do a partial wall removal, install a microwave above the stove, and hook up plumbing to the kitchen sink. As soon as the work began, extra costs began to surface. When we were concerned about the work, we were yelled at, told that our project was not worth their time, and that we didn't know what we were talking about. Their website states, "We're not happy until you are happy. If there is anything you are not pleased with when the job is finished, we will work with you until you are completely satisfied." However when we said we were unhappy with the work and that we were thinking about getting another professional to fix their work, they said, "Good luck, I hope they don't have to hold your hands like we did." As soon as they recieved the full payment, they were gone. Now we are stuck with walls that are not level, bent corner beads, a small water leakage, a vented microwave that is leaking air and uneven, and a stalled kitchen renovation. Overall, not the best experience.
