No utensils to start the meal, drinks took to long (due to cleaning of machine), apps ok, dishes sat empty on the table for a while until after the main dishes arrived, 3/4 meals just ok but the 4th meal ordered was unable to be eaten by my son as he spent most of the meal time in the bathroom gaging by what he had to eat!
I wish I had taken a picture but we just wanted to get out of there!
Ordered delivery and perogies were soggy, no spices, chicken was cold.
Ordered lunch for 5 people at a office Christmas party, waited 1.5 hours, phoned the store, Manager had NO estimate of when it would be ready as their chicken shipment was late. Called again 2 hours later to inquire, still NO estimate of when our lunch would be served for Christmas! Cancelled the order and went to Zehrs, had a great chicken lunch for 1/3 the price. Ive also been there 2 other times when they had NO chicken!
As far as chains go, Swiss chalet is good. But as far as chains go, Swiss Chalet is still a chain, so you can expect the same stuff everywhere.
This time I ordered fish and chips. I know you're supposed to get the chicken, but I always get that so I wanted to try something new.
Quick and friendly service which was above adequate levels. I find all Swiss Chalet places to be very dull and depressing in terms of decor and atmosphere though.
Food came fast. I am glad that my fries came with the chalet sauce. I actually really like the fries here, but I was a bit disappointed with the fish fillet portions. They were pretty small overall, and looked like they had come from a cookie cutter. I had also ordered the lunch portion, which was to come with one fillet, but I was served and charged for the dinner time 2 fillet serving. Ahh well I ate them anyway.
Overall this particular experience was just ok, but I'll still go back for a hot chicken sandwich from time to time.
The chicken was OK but I had rice and it was nearly cold. The dipping sauce is way too salty, on the whole not too inspiring. My husband enjoyed his meal with the big pile of greasy chips.
