Brioches A Tête

From their native France, brothers Jonathan and Florian Rahmani dreamt of travelling the world. Their journey to Canada was a lengthy one, due to pit stops in the United States and Australia along the way. Jonathan, the elder brother, was a mechanical engineer graduate heading to the United States for a change of scenery. Florian had already found his way in life, taking on an internship in a local bakery. Upon Jonathan’s return, the brothers decided to have a taste of Australia where they lived for an extended period of time, working in a bakery. Jonathan took the lead and relocated to Montreal in 2009 and Florian followed in 2012.

While their journey was long, setting up Brioche à Tête, their pastry shop on Fairmont West, was only a matter of months, as if it was meant to be. In February 2014, after a few years of working for others, and without a business plan, the brothers spotted a bakery shop for sale in the Mile End. By May, they had already redesigned the place from top to bottom and had started to sell the best croissants in town in their small establishment.
