Meet the owner

Where in the world are you going to find Persian blue salt? Or how about pure truffle oil? Or Balsamic pearls? The boutique Fleur de Sel on Beaubien carries these and a great many other rare and precious products. You could spend an afternoon exploring the shelves, discovering products you didn’t even know existed. Fleur de Sel specializes in gourmet, often hard-to-find culinary products.

While many of the products they feature are high-end, owners Julie Richard and Isabelle Thérien want to create an accessible space that is family friendly. “Fine food boutiques can sometimes be exclusive and not kid friendly. We want to create a welcoming space for everybody.”

Long time friends Julie and Isabelle took over the boutique in November 2014, and have since worked together to make it their own. “We knew we wanted to start a project together,” says Julie who is also a potter. Isabelle previously worked in the mortgage sector – they really complement each other well. Since acquiring the boutique, they have had lots of fun customizing the space and exploring the vast array of products from around the globe.

    Pour ceux qui aiment la cuisine

    Joli petit endroit ou des produits coups de coeur sont présentés sous un même toit. Mains de sels, thés, chocolats, huiliers, tout le monde peut y trouver son compte. Des sels différents peuvent être trouvés ici. J'aime beaucoup leurs huiles.
