Through its selection of women’s clothing, Hochelaga-Maisonneuve boutique Folle Guenille promotes buying local and the revitalization of prêt-à-porter. To that end, owner Isabelle Boisvert stocks lines by Quebec designers and encourages brands that produce environmentally-friendly clothing. “We want to highlight the work of women’s fashion designers who care for the planet as well as for style,” she underscores. “We also want to promote local purchasing and the development of an ecological and social conscience.”
