Loraine Overall has been an environmentalist since her mid-20s. She constantly asks herself how her decisions and actions affect the environment, her home, her family and her personal values. "My family and my friends think I'm a bit of an eco-freak," she says, laughing.

For a long time, Loraine wanted to open an eco-friendly shop filled with a wide variety of environmentally and socially responsible products from suppliers who cared about their impact. Finding such a place proved to be a challenge, until in 2012, she bought into a franchise called P'lovers, which in 2015, changed its name to Béco.
