Melk Bar à Café is making its mark on the scene. But something feels different at this Monkland Village café. Visitors who step inside will find there's love and happiness in the air.

Could it be because the owners are a charming married couple who genuinely love what they do? Or is it because their mission is to create a space where everyone who comes by feels welcome and comfortable? Whatever the reason, you are bound to receive more than just your average cup of joe at Melk Bar à Café.

The owners, Dominique Jacques and Myriam Asselin, greet their customers with a smile, and it's clear they enjoy working together. When asked what it is about Monkland Village that drew them to open their café in the neighbourhood, the couple refer to the street and community's unique charm. "Monkland has a different vibe," says Dominique. "There are families, and younger people too. We wanted to give them a place to come."
