Rib’N Reef Steakhouse checks off all these boxes and many more, thanks to its owner’s hard work and attention to detail. Peter Katsoudas bought the restaurant in 1991 after spending decades running various other restaurants. The Rib’N Reef Steakhouse was already well-established as one of the best, but Peter knew the challenges of staying on top. “Knowledge is like anything else. You need passion and interest, and then you learn as you go,” says Peter. “I’m still learning every day. This is what makes any business interesting, when you are always looking to get better. I always strive to see how we can make it better.”

Everything that this restaurant does is pure gold. Service is excellent, the food is perfection, and the cigar lounge is an amazing touch. I've been lucky enough to have come here multiple times, and it's turning into one of my go-to restaurants in Montreal. A couple of terrific items to note are the grilled octopus, (any) steak, lamb bouquetier, and I usually start with the wedge salad. Amazing restaurant overall, and always a great experience.
I come here every few weeks or so... it is a very nice treat and the food is unreal. Everything i've tried on the menu has been spectacular. The owners of this place know what they're doing cause they've been around for a while. Great spot, must try if you've never been.
The best sea scallops in the city, by far! I’ll go out of my way to come here at least once a month to get my dose.. so delicious and they’re really a delicacy. The service is very professional and I feel like I’m treated very well when I visit this establishment. It’s altogether an amazing experience, you have to try it for yourself!
Wow - this restaurant is the best I've been to in all of Montreal. My friend and I both had the "Rib-Eye bone in" steak with a bearnaise sauce... needless to say these steaks were fantastic. Cooked perfectly and SO much flavour. I had a side of garlic mashed potatoes and my friend had sauteed mushrooms & spinach.. we both left absolutely full and satisfied. We will definitely come back.. hopefully sooner rather than later!
This Montreal landmark prides itself on quality and exceptional service. The food is superb. the wine list is extensive, and the waitstaff is knowledgable. the staff took care of every need, stopped by our table to assure that everything was to our satisfaction.
