Going into business is never easy, especially when it comes to the restaurant business. Recruited by the multi-entrepreneur Mathieu Villeneuve, the man behind the Sacrement, the Sacrilège and the Projet, Catherine Bergeron-Duchesne was convinced to become a co-owner and the operator of the first restaurant dedicated to poké in Quebec City.
The young woman, armed with a bachelor's degree in business, decided to embark on the adventure, reassured by the presence of the four other partners. "I take care of everything to do with marketing. Mathieu is the one handling contacts and administration. Alexanne (Grenier), our chef, develops the menu. Jonathan (Yelle) is our handyman and Nathan (Walsh) negotiates with suppliers," explains Catherine.
The choice to set up Bols et Poké in Saint-Jean-Baptiste was quite natural. Not only did Mathieu already have other businesses there, but over the years, he had developed a soft spot for the area.
