Walk-in clinics open late in Toronto

If you knew when you were going to need a doctor, you’d have all your drugs stocked up in advance and time booked off at work. It doesn't work like that, however, which is why these handy late-open walk-in clinics save the day – or the night!

Bay College Medical & Lockwood Diagnostics

1
790 Bay St, Toronto, ON M5G 1N8

It’s easy to go on nursing a bug by yourself and just carry on with the day-to-day business you have to attend to (keeping a pack of tissues at hand). But walk-in clinics are there to help when you’re feeling under the weather while you’re out and about shopping or on a lunch break. Bay College Medical ticks all the boxes when it comes to efficient staff, swift diagnostics and an on-site pharmacy.

Infinity Health Centre

2
39 Lower Simcoe St, Toronto, ON M5J 3A6

Geared towards those working in the downtown commercial hub, this clinic is one of the few in the city that arranges scheduled walk-in appointments. After all, if you’re fitting in a doctor’s visit during the work day you don’t have a lot of time. Infinity makes a point of sticking as close as possible to your time slot. They’re equipped to provide blood work and lab tests, plus extra care such as physiotherapy, massage and naturopathic services.

East Liberty Medical Centre

3
901 King St W, Toronto, ON M5V 3H5

This walk-in clinic serves you if you live in the neighbourhood or work downtown and want the convenience of getting medical attention during your lunch hour or after the office closes. You can get flu shots, family doctor services, referrals and other basic medical attention to help keep you in good form. The clinic has regular walk-in hours but can close early if it reaches its capacity for patients, so it’s worth calling before you go.

One Stop Medical Centre

4
3585 Lawrence E, Scarborough, ON M1G 1P4

The rule of thumb here is to be a one-stop shop for ailments covering a range of health issues. You and your family can walk in seven days a week for initial appointments in pediatrics, gynecology, cardiology and chiropody attention. They also do x-rays, travel injections and bone density tests. Several nights a week, they stay open late so you don’t have to disrupt school or work and the staff speaks multiple languages, so there’s no anxiety when you’re communicating about your health.

Healthsource Medical Clinic

5
473 Dupont St, Toronto, ON M6G 1Y6

If you register as a member at this clinic, you get benefits like same-day appointments and decreased wait time, plus, you can take advantage of an out of hours walk-in clinic for anything urgent. A range of services are offered at this Dupont clinic, including blood work, referrals to other specialists, pre-natal and post-natal care, geriatric care and annual physicals. There’s also auxiliary weight and diabetes management advice. It’s open late on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Emkiro Health Services

6
70 University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5J 2M4

Ideally, you want a walk-in clinic for convenience but a scheduled appointment to avoid a wait. This is where Emkiro has put on its thinking cap. You get to call ahead and make an appointment, make your way to the clinic and step in for your slot without the wait that can be typical of a regular walk-in place. Kill two birds with one stone and get blood work on the premises. They also offer massage and physiotherapy.
