Took my boyfriend for his birthday lunch on 01 Feb and ordered off the Winterlicious menu. Each course was perfectly presented and just right, portion-wise. When dessert came, they had put a candle on his plate along with "Joyeux Anniversaire" written in chocolate along the edge. A very nice touch! We come here to celebrate our one year anniversary and only because they have $1 oysters after 5pm. We figured we would have a 5 or 6 dozen and then head out to a lite dinner and some dancing. We never left Biffs. From the amazing service to having the evening manager come over to talk to us, everything here was wonderful. We ended up eating 8 dozen oysters, a bottle of champagne andtwo bottles of wine as well as the Scotch Eggs, Oh me oh my the scotch eggs here are to die for and you will not regret ordering them. We stayed for 5 hours enjoying thre ambience and each others talks. At the end of the night ( we closed the restaurant ) they brought us a complimentry dessert with happy anniversary wriiten in chocolate on it. Nice touch! I highly recommend this restuarant for dinner, business or personal. $1 oysters people! You cant go wrong. Amazing service Fresh and tasty food What are you waiting for? Make a reservation now! lol. The waiter that sat us down was extremely nice as was the waitress serving us. The enthusiastic attitude of both of them definitely made this place having amazing service. The service is not the same at the Casey's near AMC in Scarborough. The service here was outstanding. The atmosphere needs no mentioning as its a given with a chain of what to expect - the same thing as last time. The grilled chicken on salad was above average. Read more

On a long street with bountiful options for where to eat, I could see how this place might get passed by. When we entered it was not very busy but the atmosphere was very welcoming. We were there for a Sunday lunch so we all ordered coffee to start, they have a decent cafe au lait. The menu had a great variety with excellent prices! All of the entree salads were only $8. After ordering, we waited a really long time for our food, especially since it wasn't busy at all. However, when the food came out it was all divine! The pizza's were very large for one person and the crust was excellent. Omelette's and eggs benedicts were enjoyable as well. A neat thing about this place is that you have the option of half fries, half salad for your side with any entree. Overall, a good experience with decent prices but if you are in a rush I would suggest you go elsewhere because the service was very leisurely. Read more

Quaint little cafe with old-world-charm leaded glass windows that open to the street in summer. I have been there many times, always getting one of their breakfast meals. The service has always been quick and polite. The owner/manager was always on site and seems to take pride in good service. The place is usually pretty busy, but has a quick turn around time, so there isn't usually a wait more than a minute or two. As soon as your coffee cup starts to empty, the waitress or busser is over to fill it right back up (if you desire). It is a good old fashioned diner/greasy spoon that is great to sit back and have conversation with friends, and also great prices. Bonus, it is located close to Riverdale farms (TO's 1st zoo) which is great place (free) for kids to see animals, and near riverdale park for a game of baseball, tennis, ultimate or walking the dog. The meal is always done how you like it, and price includes coffee/tea and a small cup of OJ. Not bad at all ;) One of the most economical places to have a full meal, and unlike Yorkville restos I have never been dissatisfied with the food nor the service. The one thing they could improve on is offering more hot water for tea drinkers...we enjoy refills too! Read more
