I loved the atmosphere. Will go back to have the tuna tartare. I had some beef thing on lettuce - it was incredibly bland and for desert I had the eclair which was stale and the cream was hardened. But the atmosphere is great and for Winterlicious they have a new menu so may check it out. Read more

I had a business lunch here a week ago. The food was excellent, the service attentive and the atmosphere was excellent for a private conversation. Seriously, best restaurant i have been to! Donatello on Elm in Toronto - the service was sooo good - made very special by our knowlwedgable server! The food - sublime! I highly recommend it! Superb service and food make this place somewhere to return again and again. Very attentive staff, excellent Italian dishes. I had the piping hot Minestrone vegetable soup and fresh fish of the day. The others had pasta or beef tenderloin. Everyone loved their meals. My only complaint was that my fish was to come with roasted potatoes and vegetables, but there was only one small half of a potato. Other than that, everything else was great, including dessert. This was the best restaurant we have ever been to. The view of the entire city at night was spectacular and everything we ate including the bread (we bought a loaf from them it was so delicious) and the deserts homemade from scratch were mouth watering delicacies...the service was spectacular...the servers were wiping our table for crumbs in between each course. They had 3 different servers assisting us and they were all so helpful and polite. We had other plans that we cancelled for after our meal because it was so great that we ended up spending the entire night there and we can't wait to go back!!! Read more

It's a family run restauant and the owner Roberto used to live in Naples, Italy. It is one of the best italian restaurants that you can find in Toronto. There are some restaurants in Italy that aren't as good as Roberto's is. It isn't extremely elegant but it has a good menu for a modest price. We come here to celebrate our one year anniversary and only because they have $1 oysters after 5pm. We figured we would have a 5 or 6 dozen and then head out to a lite dinner and some dancing. We never left Biffs. From the amazing service to having the evening manager come over to talk to us, everything here was wonderful. We ended up eating 8 dozen oysters, a bottle of champagne andtwo bottles of wine as well as the Scotch Eggs, Oh me oh my the scotch eggs here are to die for and you will not regret ordering them. We stayed for 5 hours enjoying thre ambience and each others talks. At the end of the night ( we closed the restaurant ) they brought us a complimentry dessert with happy anniversary wriiten in chocolate on it. Nice touch!
