If you're looking for fine dining with great service and a relaxing atmosphere in Toronto, you'll need to look up to the sky and search for Canoe. Food: The menu is simple yet it's high quality and well prepared dishes with great wine and drinks pairing. We decided to go with an app, an entree, and dessert - although the dishes didn't surprise us, they still met our expectations of high quality. The real treats were the Oyster Boy's Finest and Pan Seared Quebec Foie Gras, each being a great start to our meal. Although it was great, it didn't end with a bang. The meal kept its pace right through to dessert. Service: The wait staff were very attentive and accomodating. Our server was attentive to our needs, and was engaged without being too involved in our dining experience. I was impressed by the service from everyone this evening! Atmosphere: I would definitely recommend trying to reserve a table by the window. The place is beautiful with the simple and modern decor, though the view of the city is an added bonus to your meal. It's definitely worth the visit if you're looking to dine in the sky with a great meal, but be prepared to empty out your wallet, because this place isn't cheap. Read more

My friend ordered the Chicken Tikka, which was a big chicken breast, grilled with Tikka sauce on the side. Different, but good. I had the Ping Gai chicken which was excellent and came with Rice and Salad. Total with 2 beers came to $53. A great deal for pretty good food in an upscale pub atmosphere. Will definitely return. Mila was my contact and she was AMAZING. Food was absolutely delicious! I had several guests with a diverse array of dietary restrictions (including vegetarian and no pork). Fabulous food! I have walked by on several occasions and was certainly not disappointed when finally trying their place. You can tell the food is made from scratch and with skill. The real buffalo mozzarella in the caprese is a nice change and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Ambiance was nice and relaxed, not overly noisy. Waiters are very nice and attentive. Wine list is impressive. Biagio himself was nice enough to introduce himself at our table; A very pleasant surprise. Apparently they have monthly wine tasting events too. We will definitely return. I've been to Pomegranate and its twin brother Sheherzade many times with different people. The place is simply amazing. They serve a very authentic Persian food made out of organic ingredients - it simply tastes like heaven! The atmosphere is very special too. You feel like you are in a museum. The walls and the tables are filled with hand-made art and old Iranian photographs so it makes you want to learn more about the ancient Iranian culture. Arrived late, cook had left but as we just left without food, the owner and his wife invited us back in and his chef wife made wonderful chicken Alfredo and done in seemingly minutes. The service was worth the trip alone and the delicious portions filled this 270 pound (123kg) hearty eater. The waiter, Ray, extremely nice and the owner introduced wife after we finished.
